  1. Welcome to Christian Forums, a forum to discuss Christianity in a friendly surrounding.

Your voice is missing! You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  3. The forums in the Christian Congregations category are now open only to Christian members. Please review our current Faith Groups list for information on which faith groups are considered to be Christian faiths. Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  4. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.
  5. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.
  6. CF Staff, Angels and Ambassadors; ask that you join us in praying for the world in this difficult time, asking our Holy Father to stop the spread of the virus, and for healing of all affected.
  7. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.

My husband and I have been down a 5 year road of infertility. About a year ago we discovered the source of our infertility was an issue that he had, which he underwent surgery to correct and it was successful. Almost a year of trying and a failed IUI later, here I am still unable to conceive and no fertility specialist can give me a reason why. I keep telling myself that God says it is not time yet. However, a little voice inside of me keeps asking me what if it is not meant for there to be a time for you? What if God has plans for you that doesn't involve a baby?

We have basically decided to halt any fertility treatments and just see what happens naturally, since we have now been told there is no reason we shouldn't be able to conceive the old-fashioned way. I am 37 years old, so time is definitely not on my side, and although we both agree adoption is a wonderful thing, we do not feel that is an option we want to pursue at this time. No matter how hard I try, or how much progress I make at accepting how things are and try to keep pressing on in a positive direction, I can't help but feel the sting of disappointment as each month passes and once again I am still not pregnant.

I started this thread just to share my struggles, request any and all the prayers we can get, and possibly reach out to someone who may be dealing with the same struggles.
We teamed up with Faith Counseling. Can they help you today?

Thank you so very much-I totally get what you are saying in your blog and this is kind of what I have been striving for. It is difficult to let that ego go & just totally give it up to God, but I have earnestly been trying. It is very encouraging to see that you actually got to a place where you could give your wishes entirely over to him and it worked out for you!

Sometimes couples try too hard and that sabotages their efforts. I've known couples who eventually adopted and the next thing they knew the wife had become pregnant.

people said we'd become pregnant in a hopeful tone when we said "we're adopting"
but never saw adoption as a second choice
instead feel God led us towards adoption

never prayed to become pregnant but did pray for a child and God did answer

we both were scared to adopt because of all the unknowns but if one thinks about it, there are a lot of unknowns with pregnancy, also

    best to you, Jessica
    may God bless you

    Hello Jessica,
I believe it is best that you and your husband remain calm. I understand your nervous about your age. Nothing impossible for God. You desire the fruit of your womb to be blessed. First, you need to draw near God and seek the Lord’s mercy. There may be things that hinder your prayers to be answered.

Secondly, you need to start giving that you be blessed. As you have heard: give and it will be given to you. Give a sum of money to help the orphans. That is what I did when my desired to get pregnant. Find any person whom you know recently who believe in Christ and have a baby ; humble yourself before them and ask them to pray for you ; they have anointing to bless you. Yes, find those kind of people to pray for you and your husband; let them lay their hands on you or your womb. Seek holy man or woman of God in the church whom you respect or know to be respectable; seek their blessings and let them lay their hands on you or your womb.

Then don’t harbor those thoughts and feelings of unbelief in your thoughts of your heart and your husband. When doubts , anxiety and fear come, just pray :
Lord Jesus, Thank you for forgiving my sins. Bless the fruit of my womb. Thank you for your blessings. Amen

Just pray again and again until those disturbing thoughts and feelings disappear.

Tell those around you, how blessed you and your husband that so many people pray to bless the fruit of your womb. Tell them how happy and thankful you both are and that the Lord hears your prayers.

You need to keep an environment of belief; for you are expecting miracle from God.
