If it is not true in every case, are they committing sin? On what grounds would they be?

The act itself is something that achieves nothing and afterwards my desicion is always followed with regret. I try not to do it anymore and havent done it for quite some time.

That says nothing about asking Jesus into your heart. That deals more with caling upon His name to be saved. Two entirely different things.

Nope nothing there either. It's called a non-Biblical teaching for a reason. That phrase is used by evangelicals and only has been in the last 30 years. It usually preceeds a "sinner's prayer" of some sort.

The answer has been posted... but strangly none of the verses posted are that verse. Hard to find something that doesn't exist. Ironically, the verse saying that touching yourself is sinful doesn't exist either.

"What is XXXchurch's stand on masturbation?
We have had literally thousands of emails about this particular issue. We have heard all the scenarios. "Well if I think about fruit while I'm masturbating, then that is not sin." Well isn't that clever. Or..."If I'm giving glory to the Lord while I'm doing it, then that can't be wrong." Hmmm. Why don't we just make that part of our Sunday morning services then? We have heard all the Pro-Masturbation Christian arguments and I wonder if these people are really dealing in reality. It's all very intellectual and quite scholarly, but we still don't get it. Sorry.

Here's what two normal thinkers think. You want to live a life that is honoring to God then start pleasing him and stop pleasing yourself. Stop making excuses and get some control over your life. Yes, it is tough. Yes, we know hormones are raging. However, God is calling us to holiness. Live an extraordinary life. Masturbation will leave you hanging every time!"

xxxchurch.com is the EXACT site you should log onto in order to know the truth about masturbation and pornography. Looks to me like you had the best leaders who were doing God's work in teaching you turth. It also looks like you refused the truth they offered and preferred the sin instead. The job of the pastor or Christian is not to tell you what they think is right or wrong, it is to convey God's Word (putting whether they are correct or not aside for a moment). All are sinners, but they are still commanded to tell God's truth.

Definitely I can tell you if something is sinful, even if I've committed that sin myself.

Actually, the bible says that you are righteous. You are a saint, because you faith is credited as righteousness. You were a sinner, yes, but that sinner was crucified and is dead and you, dear sir, are a New Man(tm).
