I found this in Dads war stuff and I think it is from when Grandpa fought in the War? I was curious if it has monetary value besides personal?

The 1st Extra edition of the Dec. 7, 1941, Honolulu Star-Bulletin has some value to collectors because it is rare. (Antiques & Collectibles: World War II newspaper may have some value)

eBay puts a $10 "order of magnitude" value on similar items as yours...

My family has found it rewarding to donate selected "military service memorabilia" from the collections of our deceased veteran family members to their respective home town museums. Local museums and communities benefit from such charitable gifts that often become parts of displays for all to enjoy.

You're welcome Scotty. Don't put it in the junk drawer...
I also have found many old comic books and some of them at quick glance have a cartoon cowboy smoking a cigarette so I know they are old and also there are mickey mouse and some other well known cartoons so I will keep those as well. I haven't had a chance to look em up yet and I am just shocked that he had them as Dad wasn't a collector of anything that I knew of.
I have totes full of old elvis and beatles 45 records and the smaller ones {whatever they are?} And he didn't even have a record player lol

Hope you find more hidden treasures as you sift through your father's collections. Did he like to fish?

My neighbor, who's originally from Arkansas, shared some fried catfish with me yesterday. It brought back memories of grandma's kitchen.

I thought of you and your fishing photographs too. ><<(((º>

Oh yes, He fished and hunted a bunch so I have all that stuff that we shared as very special reminders :] It is funny that you mention fish because he had some fish in his freezer that he had not ate so I fried it up last night and ate it.
He is greatly missed and I do not like what happened, but it was his will that he choose this and I just have to pick up the pieces and try to go on. My biggest problem right now is the images in my head and I have saw a lot in my life but when it is your own family, It is totally different. It has me unable to sleep at night and I feel scared for some reason? I know I will be ok though because I can do all things through God who strengthens me. :]
