Thanks for sharing this, littlefisherman. Is Fr. Gerasim the priest Fr. Seraphim and Fr. Herman met in AK that is mentioned in the book? I will pray for Fr. Herman.

Fr. Gerasim is too young to be that priest, I'm afraid. This Fr. Gerasim was the abbot of Platina after it was accepted by Serbia. He is also Metropolitan Jonah's godson from when they were in college. :)

I have a questions

1) Has Gleb himself ever said something about it? has he ever tried to defend himself against the accusations? Has he ever written any letters, articles , etc. on this subject?

2) Is it possible to find him and talk to him about it face to face? If yes, why hasn't no one done it yet?

1. there might very well be articles in the Orthodox Word from around the time, but I'm not sure. the 1993 edition of Fr. Seraphim's biography (Not of This World) certainly placed the blame on the ROCOR hierarchy and made out that Fr. Herman was innocent. the monks of St. Herman's have since learned otherwise and corrected the biography. If you read the biography make sure it is the new version- "Fr. Seraphim Rose: His Life and Works"

2. the monks at St. Herman's have confronted him and spoken to him about it many times, as well as others who know him, but ultimately thats between him, his confessor, the bishop, and God.
