  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

is this sinful?

It depends.

Did you fix their computer? They don't mean, "You are God! I am unworthy to untie your sandals." They mean, "You are great. Thanks."

Sometimes, people will put you up on a pedastal, and that is bad for them (when they find out that you are human) and the expectation for you.

Buddhism teaches that if you pass the Buddha walking down the road, kill him.

This confuses many people that don't understand Buddhism, but if you think that you are not Buddha, and instead, see it only outside of you, you need to kill that thought. Everyone and everything is Buddha.

Many people, when on psychedelics, will report that they feel "one with everything." I think there may be some truth that we and God are one, and not separate entities. We are all a part of God, each other, and God a part of us.

There are 3 vantage points from which to think about God.

The first person. This is where you are the center of the universe and are the most important part. All of us were like this as children.

The second person. This is where you are in one place, and god is in another. Traditional Christianity fits into this.

The third person. This is when god is everywhere, in everything, and is seperate from nothing. Taoism, or the "force" from star wars fit into this category.
