  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is this right?

Ok this past month our praise and worship leader left our church with our pastor. They left for reasons that are very valid and it was definitely God who took them. Our former Pastors and praise and worship leaders left and started a church in Florida. It is basically another version of our church, just a branch in Florida. But our leader left and we were basically left with nothing.

My point to this is...do you think it is right that they left and should people have hard feelings concering it?

You stated "They left for reasons that are very valid and it was defintely God who took them".

It sounds to me that you know that answer to part of your questions. Should people have hard feelings? No, but they will. Its because they feel that their wishes should come before the call of God. If your Pastor and your Worship Leader were truly called to another area by God, the congregation can ONLY support them and the call God has placed on their heart.

A few years ago, the pastor of the church that I was going to left. When he and his wife left, we were left with nothing. That wasnt all. After they left, the man who owned the church, also a member of the church, decided that there was no hope and he closed down our church. We were all devastated. Just be thankful for who and what your church family has left. Pray and ask God for the strength and ask Him to help you and our church family.
