  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

"Is this normal?"

That really was a good way of explaining it, sometimes it's a matter of semantics but either way, there are feelings that ebb and flow whatever you wanna call it.

No its not "whatever you want to call it" its specifically eros..THAT can ebb and flow..

our pastor says that love is a choice we make, not something we fall into like a manhole.^_^

it's when the times are hard that those choices are made again and again. and that's when love can get stronger when you go thru the hard times together, instead of working against each other.

married love is being aware that your husband or wife depends upon you and being glad about it.
love is thinking about someone besides yourself and being greatful that you can.
love is comforting and caring and sharing. these things endure not because the couple are super people, or more marvelous than average, but because the foundation of their marriage and their committment to each other helps them along the way.

They don't loose sight of either the big things or the small things.
good marriages are always growing and active and being aware of the good dynamics, while trying to improve and nurture those that aren't so good until they're better.

marriage is very much about building the good until it's better, and building the better up to best. That's a choice, and that's love.
