  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Is this normal?

So I'm in the third trimester now, I've got about 2 or so months left to go. This week I noticed I have a lot of pressure on my bladder and below. It is uncomfortable and sometimes painful when I'm sitting straight up, especially putting pressure on my crotch. Today it has been the worst, very uncomfortable and some pain as well. Today was just a very painful uncomfortable day in my pregnancy in general. What I want to know though, is this pressure and pain normal? My mom said she felt the same thing but I want to hear from other women as well. Maybe it just concerns me because it's new to me but regardless it does concern me.

I had that with all three of my pregnancies. It sounds like what you are describing, is is your pelvic bone. As your hips spread, the ligaments of your pelvic bone become loose and cause all kinds of misery. Your baby may have also descended on your bladder for the time being

I also felt this and asked my doctor about it and that's what he told me..that it was my pelvic bone. I had all kinds of aches and pains at the end, she would kick my ribs, jump on my bladder, I had a nerve that would get pinched and I couldn't move (litterally, if I was standing at the time it happened I just had to stand there, it hurt too bad to move) my back was a killer, my stomach was much lower and just hung there because she had gotten into position....just about anything that causes you discomfort this far along will probably be normal^_^

gosh..you're getting so close...how exciting!:hug::D

It sounds like round ligament pain to me..

http://www.babycenter.com/refcap/pregnancy/prenatalhealth/205.html

I have it all the time. It was REALLY bad yesterday afternoon, evening, and this morning...but its better now. But now that you are farther along you're going to have more pressure on your bladder. I also like the previous poster get my bladder jumped on, kicked in the ribs, and I swear he/she--Pepper (that's his/her in-utero name :) ) kicks my hip/pelvic bone.

But just remember..our little bundles of joy will be here soon...

Glad to hear my threads have been helpful! :thumbsup: I can't believe time has flown so fast! Part of me is so ready for my baby to get here but part of me loves being pregnant and wants to be pregnant just a bit longer! I'm saying that now because I'm feeling good but I sure wasn't saying that earlier this week lol.

Thanks to everyone for your advice and reassurance!! I'm glad to hear it's normal.
