I really need to know.
I have been really depressed for a long time, and most of you have probably seen my other threads.
Well, i finally started to get over it and feel better. My faith improved and i was able to carry on as i should.

But then a few days later, i woke up in pain.
I ended up in tears for no reason.
And since then, ive continually been getting these thoughts in my head.
They keep insulting God, and using my hobbies to try to separate me from him.
They are trying to make it seem as though i have to decide between enjoying my hobbies, and being with God. They are persuading me that i can't do both.
Everytime these thoughts come, i feel a sharp stab of pain like a knife.
And i get an image of God frowning at me. Or what seems like it.

I end up in tears regularly, and my friends have told me i often seem out of it, and "in another world".
But whenever it gets really bad and iam in real pain, i suddenly feel calm again.

Does anyone know what is happening?
Is the sudden calm i feel afterwards, God helping me?
Is it normal to get these evil thoughts at some point?
Will they ever go away for good, and what can i do?

Please help. I don't want to be torn away from everything i enjoy.
And i especially don't want to be torn away from God.

These thought are from the devil and demons. You need to cast them out and don't accept them. Also, the pain you feel is of the devil too. You can serve the Lord and still be able to do the things you enjoy doing. You need to be sure to keep the Lord first. Also, fill your mind w/ the Word and stay strong in prayer. God loves you. Plus, the devil is a liar. Don't listen to those thoughts.

Wow, I just finished reading another response from you, Lilly, & I must say that you continually speak the truth. Amen! C2004, you need to take authority over you life and cast these demons out immediately! Just like it says in Romans 8:35-39, we are constantly in a battle with spirits that are trying to separate us from Christ. DON'T LET THEM! Pray and ask God to give you faith to get you through these trials. No weapons formed against you shall prosper!

whenever you get a thought you can recite scrpiture. use it like a sword. recite the verse that is relevant to your thought. use it with faith. believe it will work. i don't think you have to recite the exact verse. for example...you get a thought of being mean to someone...say "NO! God commands me to love my neighbor as i love myself"
if you get a thought of disrespecting your parents, say "NO! God commands me to honor my parents"
or you might decide to recite the verse. i think maybe that might work better. but i'm not sure.

here is some scripture that proves that the Word of God is like a sword.
Ephesians 6:10-18 10 A final word: Be strong with the Lord's mighty power. 11 Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies and tricks of the Devil.12 For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms. 13 Use every piece of God's armor to resist the enemy in the time of evil, so that after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the sturdy belt of truth and the body armor of God's righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News, so that you will be fully prepared. F13 16 In every battle you will need faith as your shield to stop the fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan. F14 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 Pray at all times and on every occasion in the power of the Holy Spirit. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all Christians everywhere.also, look what Jesus did when satan tempted Jesus.

Luke 4:1-13 1 Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit to go out into the wilderness,2 where the Devil tempted him for forty days. He ate nothing all that time and was very hungry. 3 Then the Devil said to him, "If you are the Son of God, change this stone into a loaf of bread." 4 But Jesus told him, "No! The Scriptures say, 'People need more than bread for their life.' F21 " 5 Then the Devil took him up and revealed to him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 The Devil told him, "I will give you the glory of these kingdoms and authority over them – because they are mine to give to anyone I please. 7 I will give it all to you if you will bow down and worship me." 8 Jesus replied, "The Scriptures say, 'You must worship the Lord your God; serve only him.' 9 Then the Devil took and said, "If you are the Son of God, jump off! 10 For him to Jerusalem, to the highest point of the Temple, the Scriptures say, 'He orders his angels to protect and guard you. 11 And they will hold you with their hands to keep you from striking your foot on a stone.' F23 " 12 Jesus responded, "The Scriptures also say, 'Do not test the Lord your God.' 13 When the Devil had finished tempting Jesus, he left him until the next opportunity came.

This is a great example of use of scripture to make satan leave. and its something Jesus did!

hope this helps

The same thoughts that are insulting God are also giving you religious advice on how you can't have hobbies... uh...

Everytime these thoughts come, i feel a sharp stab of pain like a knife.
And i get an image of God frowning at me. Or what seems like it.

I can say confidently that it isn't God.

I end up in tears regularly, and my friends have told me i often seem out of it, and "in another world".

Scary. Sounds like you are a spiritual battlefield right now.

But whenever it gets really bad and iam in real pain, i suddenly feel calm again.

Intersting.

Does anyone know what is happening?
Is the sudden calm i feel afterwards, God helping me?

Well, it sounds like some sort of demonic attack, as the other posters have said. As for the calm afterwards, I have no idea.

Is it normal to get these evil thoughts at some point?
Will they ever go away for good, and what can i do?

Lots of Christians have to deal with this. You go on fighting the good fight knowing that that victory is yours. Don't get all panicky. Have faith that God will be the one to fight for you. As the bible says, Jesus is our advocate, our mediator, our savior, etc.

Please help. I don't want to be torn away from everything i enjoy.
And i especially don't want to be torn away from God.

Ignore the deceptive thoughts, flat out tell them that you're not listening anymore.

Hope this helps a little.

The devil would love to destroy your faith and trust in God. Don't let Him. However, if your living in open sin, the devil has an easier way of getting at you. Every time we sin on purpose, we break our communion with God. This doesn't mean He leaves us or abandons us, but that we have chosen and He looks away from our sin. The devil likes to trap us in sin and then destroy our confidence in God to forgive and deliver us. Always repent and go to God for quick forgiveness and loving restoration.
Be blessed.....

No, it is not normal.

First, do you know what 'I' statements are? If you've been in therapy I reckon you've heard of it before. Well, I want you to take a passage of scripture and everytime there is a personal pronoun turn that into an "I" and pray it, okay?

The reason I want you to do this is that there is so much occult activity in the US now that it can effect those of us who are wounded. We've done this with several people and the holds start breaking lose if you do it everyday. By praying this you come into agreement with the Word.

This is the passage:

Ephesian 6:10-17

10) In conclusion, be "I am" strong in the Lord [be "I am" empowered through your "my" union with Him]; "I " draw your "my" strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].

Get the idea? Now pray the rest with "I" statements as well.

11) "I" Put on God's whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you "I" may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits fo the devil.

12) For we are"I am" not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.

13) Therefore "I" put on God's complete armor, that you "I" may be able to resist and stand your "my" ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your "my" place].

14) "I" Stand therefore [hold your "my" ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your "my" loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God.

15) And having shod your "my" feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the firm footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace.

16) "I" Lift up over all the [covering] shield of saving faith, upon which you "I" can quench all the flaming missiles of the wiched [one].

17) And "I" take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit wields, which is the Word of God."

In Jesus name I ask it Amen.

Now that wasn't difficult, here's the other one and you do the same thing with it. This one isn't as much for protection as making sure you haven't inadvertantly believed something which is false and come into agreement with it. It is really easy to accept something that sounds right and it doesn't take much at all for ole slew foot to get a foothold.

II Corinthians 10:4,5

"For the weapons of our "my" warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds,

[Inasmuch as we] "I" refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing "in my belief system" that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we "I" lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One)."

"I bind and rebuke these things in Jesus name, Amen."

Noone is saying Creationist2004 HAS demons.
They are saying she is being bombarded with oppressive demons.
Oppressive demons speak words into your mind that contradict the words of God, Spoken and written.
Oppressive demons speak words that, discourage, belittle you and try to convince you of your unworthiness of God's care and love.

2 Cor. 10:3-5
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: [4] For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; [5] Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Romans speaks indepthly about the battle that rages within the thought realm.
And the above Scripture shows that it is OUR responsibility to actively fight thoughts that are not of God.

Satan beguiled Eve with mere words and he still uses that effective tactic now.
1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Satan can only devour those who are unaware of his tactics, or those who do not know thier spiritual rights and power in Christ.
