• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together.   • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I was doing my laundry tonight. I was getting change for a dollar when in my mind the thought came up that if I changed it and used it for my laundry, then that would prove that I wasn't saved.

I then went to my car and gathered spare change to replace that dollar in change. And when I went to do my laundry I was confused about which pile of quarters I used for it. I'm afraid I used the wrong one.

Now I believe I'm saved. I accepted Christ Jesus as Savior.

But now I doubt.

If you think you hear God, pray, out load if you can. He will help guide you.

Those thoughts definantly were not real! I used to have the exact same problems, where I felt God was saying to me in my brain that I had to do this or that or I wasn't saved, and it was always little things like that. It's just the devil trying to keep you from experiencing the fullness of God's love and mercy for you. I said a prayer for you!

I must have missed the verse about losing salvation over a quarter. What you experienced is pretty normal for me. I'm surprised you didn't say you heard a voice from Heaven tell you. I think you can remember that God doesn't do petty crop like that to us. He really does love you and me. and He doesn't play such games. But what am I to say this to you? I mean, I might as well slap you, you slap me, and we'll say to snap out of it. Probably not gonna work. I (hug) you and I hope you remember in this wilderness that we people of God love you and represent a God who doesn't throw you away so easy.

Let me first start off by saying if you have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior then that means you have been saved by FAITH. The moment you did that your name was written in the Lambs book of life. You are a child of God & Jesus sheep. No if & or buts about it. Second if you did feel or think something different because of something you were doing whatever it is & now you doubt your salvation then you need to know that is a sort of spiritual warfare trying to get you to doubt WHO YOU ARE and that is a SAVED CHILD of the most high GOD & JESUS precious sheep. Do not let anything make you think otherwise. Hope this helped 0:)
