I was looking at some videos on youtube about how to stack stones to balance them. I heard it is cheating if you use glue or modify the stone in some way. I noticed that the balance spot can be very tiny. So if I use some sort of tool I can make a bigger flat spot and that makes it a lot easier to balance whatever I am trying to balance. If I am trying to balance my wife's fruit I just take a knife and slice a little piece off to give a flat spot the size of a coin. I wonder if this is cheating because it is very fast and easy this way.

If it is a contest, with rules, it might be.

If it isn't a contest, and you are just making art, then, no, it isn't cheating.

Yes, I have alot of rocks and stones to work with. I am thinking of building something to put out front for people to look at. I want it to last at least for the summer season. Then I can do something different next year.
