Is it acceptable to watch on TV/Movies/Games things that are not permissible for a christian to do in real life?

Can we for enteratainment purposes watch shows that have murder, lust, envy, selfish ambition, adultery, hatred................ and that's just the PG ones

Do you know the story the frog in the kettle (cooking pot)? When the fire is first lit, the frog is cosy and comfortable in the pot. Then as the fire reaches cooking temperature, the frog is stuck inside the pot.

I think the same has happened with entertainment. The old movies were very innocent in storyline, content. There were no bedroom antics (sex). But as movies have "progressed" (grown worse), so we have been exposed to sex, occult, explicit violence, vulgar language. It is interesting to note that in South Africa, many unsual crime and gang methods used were first shown on TV / Movies. I think as we have run out of "family" movies, so we have gravitated to dunking into the sewer.

I visited a pastor whose daughter was on holiday from varsity. She asked if we could watch Striptease - she said it had a good storyline. (I thought it was time to go home!) Our youth have become used to watching the most dreadful stuff and I think our society is paying the price - our kids think this is the norm

We must be careful what our eyes see. Our eyes is the window to our soul.

Even evil serves God,unknowingly, as a contrast to all that is good.

For those who have entered the bridal chamber, and surrendered their life to Jesus, they are free to do whatever they want.
What you may notice though, is that they tend to spend most of their time in study and speaking to others about the love of God.
Those who serve God do not do it as a servant, that obeys, rather they do it as a son of God, brother of Jesus, as one who loves God and Jesus, and sees the rest of us thru the eyes and mind of Jesus. What we are lacking in our heart, is the eternal love and connection with God.
While it is not your job to help God, it is your will that wants to help God, out of love do you do this.

We do not hate those who are without, rather we are sorrowful for them who are lead away by the ignorant ones who wish to take you captive and enslave you.

You are all God's children that God loves very much, and forgives much, knowing that it is not you that leads astray in blindness do you go.

So if seeing evil reminds you of God, then how is it bad for you, when you too, like Jesus, are able to see what is not of God and what is of God?

Beware of the ones who seek to enslave you.

If you want to read a book filled with sinful acts, read the Bible.

There are TV shows and movies that glorify sex and violence, and there are shows and films that depict sex and violence in the telling of a greater story. There's a world of difference between them.

There is a fine line between what is acceptable to watch and what is not acceptable. The question is, how close should we allow ourselves to get to that line? It's no different than dating. We know that sex before marriage is sin, but what about up until that point? The truth is, though certain acts may not be sinful, they will eventually lead to sin and so should be abstained from with as much vigil as sex itself. Movies are no different. Though certain movies may be 'okay' to watch, it is far better to stay away from anything that resembles something objectionable. A good rule is, if you have to ask, don't watch it.

Another point to note is that of perception. Though certain things may not be sinful, if the world may perceive them as sin, we should abstain from those things in order that we may be perceived as blameless before the world, and so bring greater glory to the Son and to our Father!

For those who enter the bridal chamber, unclean spirits are no longer able to cling to you, or detain you.

The Holy Spirit is drawing each one of you closer to Jesus, even if you are not aware of it, and are unable to acknowledge it, the Holy Spirit causes the love of Jesus to stir within you thru many ways.

Those who have surrendered their life to Jesus, and become one with his love, do not contemplate issues of darkness for sake of desire or enjoyment. They simply are not able to do so, due to the pureness of heart that they have. Not only have the enlightened ones in the world become one with Jesus, with the Holy Spirit that is with them at all times, they have also fashioned the outside like the inside, although you may not be able to notice them, because of the cleverness of a snake who will hide from those of the darkness. You can see enlightened one with those who are close to Jesus, who are soon ready to receive the eternal Holy Spirit, like an angel that ushers them into the bridal chamber with Jesus.

The truly enlightened ones of Jesus, look apon the darkness of the world and see ignorance and foolishness that they do not embrace because of the wisdom of the light of Truth, and from the pure heart of the Holy Spirit that is with them at all times.

While you have yet to surrender your life to Jesus, and receive the Holy Spirit within the part of you heart and mind which is innocent and pure, beware of the defilements that exist in the world that can destroy and enslave you.

Like the food you eat that is from the father, that you put in your mouth, the words that come out of you mouth can destroy you, and enslave you.

For those of you who stand outside of the chamber, with hearts yet divided, try to recognize what is not of God, so you may bring to your place of rest, that which is good for you and of love, rather than that which is not good for you. Do not be ignorant of such things, that are able to enslave you into heavey bitternesses, in dark and ignorant places, such as prostitution and drug abuse.

I am Andrew your brother, and I greet you in brotherly love and peace. May God protect your camp and may the love of Jesus dwell with you and your loved ones.

Do not delay the day you surrender you heart, mind, body and soul to Jesus, for there are many dark dangerous spirits that exist around you, which seek to enslave you. See the truth in all things, and remain free.
