  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

is this a good idea?

i was trying to think of something cute to do for my boyfriend, because we are in a long distance relationship, where i only see him every 3 months for 3 months...so i see him basically only half the year. I wanted to make a journal, of stuff i do during my days, while he is gone...just to like, let him know what my life is like without him...do you guys think this is a good idea, or not? i kind of like it, just because i would love something like that from him...kinda an inside to his life where he lives for those three months...but yeah, please give me any imput you can

THANKS

I think it's an awesome idea. I think it would be really great if you included things that made you think of him, and ways that your thinking about him, how you think he would enjoy what you're doing, etc. It would be awesome if every journal entry was like a letter to him. It would be a wonderful way to let him know that you think about him often, and like you said, it would be a great way for him to see what your life is like when he's not around. Awesome idea!! *two thumbs up* :D

Another thing you could do, is write him a letter each day, in the journal or something, and use that time to pray specifically for him, and your relationship together. ANd then write down what you have been praying for.

That way, you get to keep track of the things you are praying for, and how God answered that prayer, and he gets to see just how special he is to you.
Give it to him when you see him again in 3 months.

I would absolutely ADORE it if the person Iw as with did something like that for me. LIke thatwould be the best gift in the world.
Yah that would be cool

I like the idea of letters better than a journal... letters you can send to him while he is away, whereas a journal you can't really give him till you're back together again! Perhaps you could give him a scrapbook or something to paste your letters in, so that he can keep them all together. That way you could send him other things too, like pics and stuff. I don't know how creative he is though- whether he would like to make a scrapbook or not. Being a crafty girl, I would absolutely love doing something like that but I dunno how guys would enjoy it. Although, if it was from you I am sure he would love it!
