It's going to be slow as molasses in January since you are running Vista, it has integrated graphics, and only 1 gig of RAM. 1 gig is just enough for Vista to crawl on, but the integrated graphics rob your RAM, so you'll have even less of that for the system to use.

If you get this, you will want to add another 2 gigs of RAM to it, and possibly a graphics card from the Geforce 8600 or 8500 family. The other specs are fine for what you want, though.

Definitely try something better. With modern AMD CPUs your going to want something at least 3800+ or better. With VISTA you need at least 2GB of RAM to run anything other than paint without lag. Try tigerdirect.com to get an idea on prices, but watch out because they can be bad about rebates and shipping. overall right now a $700 computer should be as follows at least:

AMD X2 2.0GHz or better
Intel CORE2 1.8GHz or better
DDR2 RAM 2GB
and 17in+ LCD

Looks like the gist is already out. Same same here. It would be ridiculously slow, vista needs at least 2 gigs ram, you need a faster processor ... you get the idea.

Get a system with a screen you're happy with though. Personally, I love the Fujitsu screens. I'm not fond of HP's, Toshiba's, Dells or Gateways. It's my personal opinion of course.

Don't miss out on Mac

I have a mac mini, supplied my own monitor & keyboard & speakers (all second hand), had a gig of memory put in (512 was standard), and it rips right along real well, payed about $750.

Never played WoW but have goofed with some other online game things (including one I shouldn't have ended up with  seemed harmless but the further I went  pixelated naked people)~hasn't let me down yet, and OSX isn't plagued with Vista OS issues nor the Windows virus stuff...
