Is this a dumb idea?

Ok.. so I have been attempting to get some ideas on paper however due to work (I work full time) my graduate school (6 hrs) and a house and a husband to keep up with I just haven't been good at being consistant. My husband also has an interest in writing but hasn't put much on paper to my knowledge.

So I was thinking.. just to get some ideas out and creative energy flowing.. that he and I would write some nouns and verbs on paper... fold them up.. and randomly draw say.... 5 from the pile... then give ourselves 1 week.. and make a short story using those 5 things as a guideline.. then a week later.. share what we had wrote... help each other critique... etc..

What do you think? Good Idea/Bad Idea? Any other suggestions?

I think it's a good idea. I've seen some writer sites where they do pretty much the same thing: they put a list of words up, and then you have to write a short story or poem that includes those words.

I say that anything that gets the creative juices flowing is a good idea.

True. Even if you can't come up with something specifically related to your set of words or concepts, you'll probably come up with other leads in the process.
