Is there such a thing as spiritual fornication?

To put it plainly, you cannot have two loves. You are for God and you are loyal. Being for another, whether in mind and/or heart, is the definition of fornication/adultry.

Your flesh with one partner and your mind with another is fornication. Enemy of God.
Okay, so... I admit that I am having a bit of trouble following you.

Are you saying that romantic relationships are, in and of themselves, inherently sinful because the only one you should be involved with is God?

If that is what you are saying, then how does marriage work, exactly? Being married is exactly the act of being joined to another individual in mind and body...

Your other post also makes me think you are saying it is OK for Christians to get married but not non-Christians?

At this point, I'm totally lost about what you mean.

The only true "romantic" relationships are in God in the first place.

Sin doesn't have a place.

Marriage is between one another an it certainly isn't of a third.

Giving your mind, spirit, to one and body to another is adultry/fornication.

If your mind and spirit and body are the Lords, it will keep you faithful to your partner and not to many or another.

For example: you cant have secrets with others and be faithful to your spouse. Division is fornication/adultry.

14messenger, I don't mean this as an insult, but is English your first language? There seem to be some real difficulties in communication here.

If I am right about what you are saying, you are talking about lust or adultery. Flirting, in the way that Persephones Tear means, is just letting someone know that you would like to start a relationship.

I believe spiritual fornication is a reality. Assuming spirit or essence is a fragmentally falsified whole--and the intellectual operations necessary to choice can unite with either truth or falsity in the content apprehended--then to unite with prescriptive falsity resulting in wrong moral choice is, as Jesus taught, an inner or spiritual thing. By the time it reaches act, the fornication has already been initiated, as Jesus also taught when He noted that even to look at a woman with lust constitutes adultery.
