CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I agree with you, however I think that the video is speaking of carnal as being literally no change, as Pastor MacArthur appears to be saying. If someone has no change, no regret for sinning against God, no desire to change, then they are not a carnal Christian, they are no Christian at all.
Paul is saying that there are worldly/carnal Christians. I think there are two separate ideas being represented.

Had a so-called Christian brother who I confronted once. He told me he was just a carnal Christian. Seems he had no real understanding of what repentance meant? His sin did not seem to grieve him and he said he was good to go to heaven. He's in jail now soon to be sentenced to prison. Shows no real signs of ever being born again.
There's more to it than saying a little prayer. Otherwise Jesus would have told Nicodemus, say this little prayer with me.
