Is there good terrorism and bad terrorism?

If Patriotic terrorists gained the upper hand in the U.S. and issued only these demands, would you panic or breathe a sigh of relief?

Economy-
a. Restore the purchasing power of the dollar to the strength of the early 1960s.
b. Return all manufacturing to within the continental U.S.
c. End all corporate 'outsourcing' to any foreign Government.

Healthcare-
a. Nationalize all healthcare immediately.
b. Appoint special courts to taylor each individual lawsuit.
c. Immediatly halt profiteering by the Pharmaceutical industry and nationalize it as well as the rest of the Healthcare industry.

Government-
a. Review and reverse all Supreme Court decisions that are not in accordance with the original intent of the framers of the Constitution & Declaration of Independence and the general morality of the New Testament.
b. Restrict Presidential authority in major military deployment.
c. Outlaw all gifts of any kind and money, to any politician and or political candidate of local, State, and Federal, office.
d. Allot a goverment lump sum allowance to politicians and political candidates according to the office held or aspired to, as the only means to campaign.

If we were to democratically elect a congress and president that would do all this, sure, sounds like a good plan (except nationalizing health care- way too expensive . It'd be easier to regulate insurance and drug companies)

I would consider a "terrorist" good if he;
Fought an oppressive government
Did not attack civilians
Did not kill civilians intentionally
Attacked infrastructure or armed forces

If ANYONE gets to power using threats and terrorism (violence) as a means to enforce their policies, they must be rebelled against. Not necessarily by violent means, but they must not be allowed to rule freely.

It depends on which side of the fence you are viewing it from.

The founding fathers of the US were terrorists in their own way, even Homeland Security and other anti government agancies will say they were terrorists.

Are you happy they did what they did?

To those that see the side of terrorists and where they come from it is not wrong or bad. Every one has their own just cause on things.
To some we (the US) are terrorists for still being in Iraq or for going there in the first place.

Well, with the exception of "a" under government, you simply have Left-wing terrorists. If "a" under government was ever enforced, it would prohibit ALL of the others you listed.

I would think you were right about such being "good," though I would exclude your listing of suicide attacks (many an insurgent, partisan action has been a suicide mission). The reason being is that the "terror" is against the opressive government and their apparatchiks, not the citizens. Most definitions of "terrorist" include terrorizing the populace, but yours would not.

No, I wouldn't agree. You might be a rebel or a revolutionary, but not necessarily a terrorist. Especially if you led an ARMY as opposed to sending out civilians and your targets were intentioally other military. A rebellion or uprising is not a terrorism when it is conducted against the GOVERNMENT.
