Therefore, the universe was finely tuned for the Face on Mars.
There is a consensus that this does not support actual design.
Yea sure, that is precisely what I meant.
Do you think that is a subjective opinion or a belief based on evidence?
Do you think that is a subjective opinion or a belief based on evidence?
You lack evidence for your claims that the universe is designed.
You also lack evidence that the universe was finely tuned for life,
and was not fine tuned for anything else that we can find in this universe.
If you judge everything just on how it looks, your life must be rough.
And or filled with many misconceptions.
Do you feel it is rough for the physicists that are claiming that the universe appears designed?
If the universe is designed, that would imply that everything is part of that design. What then are the criteria form determining what is not designed?

The claim is not that the universe is designed, but has the appearance it was designed.
There have been fossils found on Mars. The idea that there was once life there isn't unfounded. People just debate over whether or not the fossils are of something living.
So tell me, has it been confirmed that there was life on Mars?
The claim is not that the universe is designed, but has the appearance it was designed.
I doubt it. I would think, your average Phd level physicist, can differentiate between appearance and what the verifiable evidence tells them.
Let me put it this way.
If no verifiable evidence exists to conclude something exists and a person decides they can not believe something exists, that is being objective, based on the lack of evidence. This is not to say, this same person may later acknowledge something exists, if the verifiable evidence becomes available.
If another person decides they believe something is true, without verifiable evidence to show it exists, they are being subjective.
So do you think Davies is being subjective in his view that life came from Mars?
