How in God's Name would they be better off in the age to come if they are not true believers in this life since only those who live by faith from first to last (Hab.2:4; Rom.1:16-17) have any hope of redemption and escaping everlasting perdition?

It's questionable how far the vast majority of those calling themselves Christians, who obviously aren't Christians, realise the fate they are headed for. They'd be much better off being simple hedonists, in this life and the next.

Sounds like YOU are claiming to know it. How else would you know it existed unless you know its content? Kind of like Adam and Eve "knowing" they were naked by it being pointed out to them by their guilty consciences.

So let's have it. Go ahead, give us both barrells! What is this truth known by you and few other sages by which the very foundations of faith will be shaken? The foundations of the Church as we know it are Christ the chief cornerstone and the Apostles and Prophets of the Church. Go ahead! Tell us! We can take it! I'm sure the Holy Spirit will not leave the world because the cat's out of the bag so to speak. I'm sure the blood of Jesus will be no amount lessened in its effectiveness because the bloom's off the flower so to speak. And I'm sure the distance between my life and the love of God will be in no way increased by the eyes of our heart being opened to know the truth. C'mon! Go for it!

Yes, men have always been allowed to interpret the Judeo-Christian Scriptures for themselves. What they have not been allowed to do is to mis-interpret the Judeo-Christian Scriptures for themselves (i.e. believe whatever they wanted). There was a time when the Church uniformly held to the fundamental Truth of Judeo-Christianity (Acts.2:42) as being the Truth and anyone who dissented from the teachings of the apostles was subject to ecclesiastical discipline, even to the point of being excommunicated, as appropriate.<snip>
