  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I had an email from Anjelica later on this morning. She'd been seen by her new Doctor - various prescriptions given and a follow up appointment made.

She was much happier after that. Is actually very busy sorting out some of her limericks to include them in a book

The fact still remains, however , none of her medical problems are curable - she is going blind - that is only a matter of time. Her heart and probably other organs as well have been affected by the chemo - and if any improvement can be made there it will be very slight.

Yes, as Anhelyna told you, I got what I needed from my new doctor.

Additionally, after having a bit of a low afternoon regarding going blind, because I LOVE God's Creation, i received a lovely phone call just now from someone in my writibg group. It was an amazing conversation. God is indeed with me, and she has repeted what some others have said. I. Am so happy that God is ysing my sufferings to help others. I wanted to throw in the towel this afternoon!

Anjelica - I know what you mean about throwing in the towel

As you know I'm having a really bad patch just now , but then I look at you and say - why am I moaning - I can still drive my car , my vision is OK, I'm reasonably fit and well [ apart from OA ] - there's no good reason for me to moan about my lot

Bless you Anhelyna. Thanjyou. It doesn't make your own circumstances any the less difficult or challenging though. But thankyou for what you have said.

I used to cry a lot because I felt that like I am now, my lufe was valueless. But it is not. I have to keep remembering that when I go down.

Anjelica has not had the best of days today

Someone , who she thought was a good friend - they supported each other through good and bad times - but somehow the relationship has broken down

She could do with a few more prayers and some virtual hugs

Self-publishing is easy here in the states, Angelica. Through CreateSpace you can set your book up as "print on demand." That means you don't have to order a large number of books that you might never sell, or spend thousands of dollars for a first printing.

You need to set the book up in pdf format, and set up the cover (using a template or designing your own). If your inside pages are black and white you can put in lots of black and white photos or drawings as well.

I have published several books on CreateSpace for my employer and our cost per book was only about $3. And if you only sell 200 books, or 100 books, or 50 books, or 10 books, you only pay for the ones that are published.

Your book is also listed on Amazon.

If you need help setting your book up, I can help you. I generally use InDesign for the set up and export it as a pdf.

Thankyou Fantine. That all sounds far too complucated for me. My silly brain won't take it in! I do orint my own books and have done two so far. They have gone far and wude. I need t ve led by God in this, so let me think and oray on it Fantine. I give all the money I make to the Lymphoma Assiciation in the UK and have made a lit so dar. Many go for gifts too, and I jyst let God lead it all.
