Is there anyone here happily married?

Got married "late" in my mid-30s and went from being a double-blank (not married, kids) to being a husband and a father, and for reasons too-numerous to list, I'm a stronger believer because of it.

Tenth anniversary next year and while it wasn't great during that first year as we all adjusted, it wasn't bad, and now it's AWESOME.

I've never been happier.

There's always a tendency to reveal the less than ideal aspects of marriage on a forum, you do not tend to need others to provide their perspective on the more positive aspects of your relationships (and sometimes actively avoid that, one person's happiness is another's garbage dump and all that).

Am I happily married? Happily enough. Too much of a realist to say we're blissfully happy, regardless of what the OH may say. We smile, we laugh, and the only strong disagreement we've ever had has been about the brilliance of the majestic poodle. If the worst argument you have is the fact he won't consider living with a poodle, and you think they're far superior to labradors, there's not much you can complain about really.

I'm sure time will change that though, 6 months is not all that long....
