For me.. I believe its a word I should not use. Blasphemy? No. There are much better words I can use in its place.

It's not 'blasphemy'... but it's not a good word either. Saying damnation and hell on someone is generally negative. Best to avoid it.

It might be against the rules here to list them. I completely agree with @Andrew77 . Just don't say "Holy Cow", I consider it blasphemy because it's a Hindu expression because they consider cows to be gods and worship them.

I think the attitude of the heart can cuss using sanitized words in place of regular cuss words.

I hate it when people say that! I never knew it to be a Hindu expression. I thought it was just a saying. That makes sense though because they worship cows, but I guess you have to say it meaning it that way to be blasphemy. Most people probably don't know this. I really don't like it when people place "Holy" before random words as expressions. To me it's like saying [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse].

I don’t think it is blasphemy, but depending on the context, it could be a bad thing or a good thing.

I remember back when I was a kid a pastor preached of the rich man in hell being a "damned spirit."

Except that Hindus don't use that expression themselves any more than a conscientious Christian exclaims the name of Jesus in that way.

I don’t think it’s blasphemy - but I think it can be wrong to say in certain contexts. In that case, intent has a lot to do with it.

I try to not say that word but say it when something happens or i say dangit instead of this word

I don't think it's blasphemy, but I think given the gravity of the word, we probably shouldn't toss it around so casually.

It's kind of ironic that a word for the most horrific thing that can happen to a person is considered the least offensive profane word, so much so that I'm not even sure it's considered profanity anymore.

That's because it's one thing that nobody can ever actually do to anything or anyone else.
