Is the mark a computer chip?

The mark of the beast, I speculate could be directed against Christendom, as they say, the God deluded. Nero blamed Christians for Rome's troubles, but he was to blame. Hitler blamed the Jews and invalids, and persecuted Christians. The last anti-christ, may be against the 666 million Christians. For in the mid nineties, there were 600 million Christians. And each year, 6 million become Christians in Africa. Some people hate this!

Of the haters there could form a terrible unity, of atheists, and other world religions, the extremists. They will say we are mad, we are the problem. Maybe, we are having too many kids and we are child abusers, unscientific, prone to NDEs, and not giving into fornication enough. We have an obnoxious conscientiousness to them, to restricting, stopping medicines, making them feel bad about adultery, perving and we don't lend our wives, and we restrain our children. We don't give it to homosexuals that what they have is special and that they should have special rights. We don't want them to take our kids into their places of practices. We love our patrimony, so we are 'gene prejudiced'. We show our own kids favour over others. We may have Alzheimers in the family but we don't adopt kids or use AID, for eugenics.

It boils down to pleasures, and money. We are seen as the problem.

There are the people who find the whole "One Way" to God idea obnoxious, and so it may be a witty reply to make another one way to god, in their view. Especially if a major event takes place over the faith in one god. And a preferred new way which does not make it hard for pleasure lovers to find life. Pushing our "obnoxious way" aside.

And from there I believe we will be persecuted, not allowed the new chip currency unless we also worship another god, which will be unclean. Somehow more than Baal worship in Elijah's day, there will be no reversal to repentance.

Not long ago, only a few years, in protest to Christianity some atheists pledged to blaspheme the Spirit of Grace. It may be part of the new religion. In the chip.

The chip and money and worship, a pledge to a new governor, will all be in the one device. The false answer to the need for gratification and economic stability, and over population and diseases.

One could speculate endlessly as to what it might be.

Dr. Ian Paisley points out that at one time the EU Parliament assembly had a vacancy at seat number 666. I have no idea if it's still that way.

EIPS - The Vacant Seat Number 666 in the European Parliament

Personally, I have no idea what the mark is except it's something physical and can control all commerce on an individual level, and the number will be easily identifiable on whoever the AC is for any who are wise.

Hello:)

My last church said the Mark of the Beast will be a computer chip with three sets of six digit numbers, a chip implanted under the skin and scanned.

The church I'm visiting now says no, it won't be that.

What do you think?

Because the technology for the chip seems to be coming!

I don't know if it is or if it will not be, but it really irks me when preachers say, "And the government will implant the computer chip that the Bible talks about." DUH! The Bible doesn't say 'computer chip.' That's just the most recent interpretation being tauted by 'Bible prophecy experts.'

I heard a preacher say something like, "And the Bible says the 144,000 will evangelize the world." I says no such thing.

We need to be careful to make a distinction between speculation and doctrine. Speculative teaching on the end times is a turn off to me. Chances are, some or most of the preacher's guesses will be wrong.

It is a very real possibility of the Rev 'mark'. And there's nothing wrong with being alert to the matter.

The mark referred to in Revelation was something given to traders at the local market (the agora) after they had paid their dues to the presiding deity. Only then could they conduct business. Christian of course would not do that, although it is possible that the reference to the church at Pergamum (rev 2:6ff) is about this very issue. Some there were willing to compromise.

It looks easily possible to make a card that contains records that are not anywhere but on the card, like current paper records, which only your GP has, or electronic records. So the government and corporations don't know, and we don't want to be injected with chips.

I have made another thread:
http://www.christianforums.com/t7666933/

What happens if people born again unwittingly take the mark?
What happens if people are physically forced to take the mark, what of them on judgement day?

I think, that there will be lead up technology, to be resisted. But if it can be removed, the cancer risk is gone, and it is not reversible, I would protest but not prefer to fight or die than have that.

What do you posters think?

Personally, I doubt if the mark of the beast will be the computer chip everyone is talking about right now. Everybody thinks every president is the anti-christ, and every new technology is the mark of the beast. Many people thought credit cards were the mark when they came along, others even though that automobiles where when they first came out. As a matter of fact, most Christians wouldn't even use cars until people like William Booth (founder of the Salvation Army which is totally different now from what it used to be) started using them.

The mark will come eventually, it may or may not be a chip, but whatever it is we just keep walking with Jesus and we will be fine.
