I sometimes think people would love it if the economy completely failed and we fell into a depression just so they could blame Trump. Strangest thing I have seen in politics in a long time. Never seen the opposite party hate quite like this...

Personally, I never hated the man. I framed and hung on my office wall the USA Today front page headline that proclaimed his victory. A black president! Also proved that the USA was NOT a racist nation. Twice.

Most of the indicators that Trump brags about now are continuing a trend they started while Obama was in office.

I grew up in the 50s and 60s and saw racism as church burnings, lynchings, KKK marches, and cross burnings. Nothing quite like the democrats of the 1800s and the early 1900s. But every time I hear someone holler "racism" I rush to the news media and look for a march or a burning or little girls being denied entrance to a school. Finding no such things happening... I deem the whole affair as "fake news" and go back to my daily life.

God can use a person in secular authority, for good > "he is God's minister to you for good" (in Romans 13:1-7). And God has done so. So, it is wise to give credit to Him for what has been good.

There were things which were good for people, while Barack was President. They might not have been all which people want and maybe dictated. But there were things that helped people.

If Donald had total freedom with no checks and balances, I understand that some number of Republicans would not like that.

No one is missing out on how Jesus takes care of us, if we are obeying how Jesus takes care of us; so we are wise to depend on Him. So, part of God's purpose of the political leaders we have could be so we see we need to depend on and obey God

That is a false equivalency, yes. Carson is Christian to the bone, Trump is not even to the skin.

Point is, if he was like Carson, or if it were Carson in office... they still would not like it. They are not going to like it no matter who it is.

Except it's not. While the indicators are better then they were when Obama was in office, the trends are just a continuation of the ones under the Obama Administration.
