  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Is the Case for Christ a true Christian film?

It is a good movie, especially if you are an analytical thinker; it's kind slow moving at times though because of all of the research that is presented.
The only real problem I had with the it was, that in my opinion, a person could get the impression that "mental assent" (just believing some facts about Jesus) makes a person a Christian. There was really no emphasis on repentance or being Born Again, even though his life was obviously changed after he met Christ...it just wasn't talked about why. I never read the book, but from what I understand, these elements were talked about there and maybe just removed because of time restraints in the movie.
It is worth watching, but if you are going to be seeing it with a non-believer, just be ready to fill in some holes that the movie left.
