Is techno evil? Can Christians listen to it?

The Lord just showed me a vision while I was screaming at my neighbor to shut her dog up or else. He impressed upon me that because the owner does yoga that the dog is loud. If the owner would attend more church services, the dog would be at peace.

If a Christian does it, it isn't evil. If a non-Christian does it, it's evil.

There is nothing to wake up to. Yes we know that there is bad secular music out there. Simply stay away from that music and you will be fine. I highly doubt techno or and any EDM is bad unless it consists of lyrics that have to do with bad things like encouraging weed or something. (or language, bad behavior, etc. etc.)

The awesome thing, is that there are plenty, in-fact tons of techno music that don't even have lyrics in them, they just sound really freaking awesome.

Here are two Dubstep songs I was listening to last night and I really enjoyed them. If you find anything wrong with them I will laugh historically and not believe you because I don't see anything wrong with them and I did not feel any conviction or need to get away from them when I listened to them.

When you have God, eventually everything starts to remind you of His love. I used to listen to a lot of techno when I was a drug addict, and a lot of straight bad rock when I was recovering and for many years afterwards. That was all years before I got saved. I still enjoy a lot of the music. Every so often, a secular song I used to enjoy even reminds me of the gift of salvation. Like the hardcore techno song "You're Shining," by Breeze and Styles.

You are implying that all music not labeled as "Christian", "Gospel", or "Sacred" is of the devil, which it isn't. You can't just blanket everything. It's rude, and most especially to musicians who choose NOT to label themselves, just so they can get into the secular audience as a witness.

Just because it has no lyrics doesn't mean that its intentions ARE saturated in evil.

Again I will point out why are you using a computer then? or driving a car? Or owning a home. Most anything we do/use can be traced back to something "evil". I shouldn't use spoons because somewhere in history they were used to pluck out peoples eyes.... and yet I used spoons anyways!
