But a dialouge between ourselves and God. We can talk but it is more important we take time to listen....think about it God gave us 2 ears and 1 mouth....dont you suppose we should listen to Him and the people in our lives twice as much as we talk?

LOL :D I love this! Please tell me you don't have this copyrighted. ;)

God speaks to us directly, however we need to allow quite times God is alive and his word is true Bible is our guide. I know at times it is hard but God can communicate to us in so many areas Do not keep him in a box, he communicates in many areas of our life. But stick to the bible.

Is prayer one way...no way. It is two ways...how do I know...because 5 minutes ago we were having a converstation.

Prayer for me many times is having a conversation with God and it is incredible. He tells me the most detailed and intimate things it is truly amazing how God can talk to man.

It makes me strive for the realtionship that he had with Moses...face to face.

Do you believe that we can have an intimate relationship with the Father now, on earth, in the temporal?

Do you believe that this relationship consits of simply reading His Word (as some do) or actually talking to and hearing back from (in our hearts[spirits]) God, as though you were actually having a conversation with someone?

Back in High School, my Doctrine/Ethics professor seemed to believe (at least this is how I interpreted it) that having a daily relationship with God means reading His Word on a daily basis.

Coming from the "WoF camp" and hearing preachers like Jesse Duplantis and reading his book "Wanting a God You Can Talk To", I am more inclined to believe that we can hear from God today.

So, is God a God we can talk to or does reading His Word constitute a relationship with the Father?

Since I was a child it's been a two-way conversation ... He and I. :)

Reading His Word does generate a lot of the conversation. Though there was the time I was busy getting ready to leave the house and I was listening to worship music. As I passed through the living room I heard Him say "Dance with me Barbara" That was such a cool moment. Of course all my times with God are pretty cool . . . even when He's correcting me.

People who are not experiencing the two way conversation are usually expecting something to come from outside themselves.
God speaks both TO and OUT OF your heart. Once you understand things like "your conscience is the voice of God" then you begin to understand that His conversation with you is spiritual, and not always verbal.

I heard a commedian the other day that was expounding about things that were odd in life...She said "isn't it odd, when people talk to God, they call that prayer. But when God starts talking back, they call you crazy?..:D

It is a two way conversation. He has come to dwell in us, and this is where we hear from Him. There will be no mistaking the voice of God when you hear it. Jesus said, My sheep know my voice. I believe he speaks to us from our spirits quite often. It just takes a little practice hearing His voice. Sometimes it comes as an impression on your consciousness. But no matter how it comes, My sheep know my voice.
