My thoughts before watching the video: "The Force" in Star Wars is like the worldview called "Panentheism", that is the worldview in which god is "in" everything. The trees, the stars, the microscopic organisms, and yes, humans. God is in all of them. That's what I believe Star Wars teaches: the Panentheistic worldview. Of course, as a Christian, I believe that anything that is not of the Biblical God is of the devil, and that includes the Panentheistic worldview.

My thoughts after watching the video: Unchanged. I keep Romans 14 in mind when it comes to decisions like this.

I personally think you over think/over analyse fictional stories to the point of paranoia and that 'everything' comes across as 'evil' if you look hard enough.

I almost went down this road like 5 years ago and was almost a depressed mess. Just enjoy it for what it is: A sci fi story about good vs evil taking place in a fictional universe and stop trying to read the lines between the lines.

Whenever I come across videos on Youtube with the title 'SUCH AND SUCH EXPOSED'..reminds me of the crazy man on the street corner screaming 'THE END IS NIGH, REPENT YOUR SINS'. That isn't how you go about spreading the Christian message. People are turned off by it because of it's super-aggressive nature.

I dont really care for star wars but have always known its kinda occult because of the 'force' stuff in it.

Also they have done so much merchandising of those movies with toys etc that its pretty obvious they want to make the characters into idols.

Or they simply want to make money selling the toys so people can play with, or by selling shirts with the name on it..

But that REALLY means that people WORSHIP them like IDOLS...right?... ..even though they aren't.

I think people do, esp children. They get sucked in.
well, there is mammon, the god of money. Idols are just anything that gets in the way of God, and they can be images of other things/characters that people are obsessed with and spend all their time on.

For example, Carrie Fisher said people made blow up dolls of her character in star wars and then imagined gross things about her.

Those were unlicensed objects being made by people who took things completely overboard. The weird fans don't speak for the normal ones.

Those people are not the rule, they are the exception. Most boys who play with Star Wars toys? yeah..not worshiping them in any way.

Idols are just anything that gets in the way of God, and they can be images of other things/characters that people are obsessed with and spend all their time on.

Then if that's the case, you can automatically call studying for school or performing your duties at work 'idol worshiping' since most people spend the majority of their day doing these. And NO, you didn't clearly make any exceptions, so I won't.

I didn't watch the video because I seen the words illuminati, which signifies conspiracy stuff. And I stay away from that since it tends to draw you away from God more then anything else. I don't see anything wrong with Star Wars really. Is it a christian movie? No. At most the worst thing I can think of about it is the force. But even then its just a movie. There is no force in real life. Watching it since I was a kid I never was influenced by it. Though like many I thought it would be great to have powers like that lol. But I know its fake of course.
