I've seen some American stand-up comedians who seem to believe that their audience are so dumb that they need to sign-post their own jokes.

One might very well hear one say "So I killed my mother-in-law.....", then add "Just kidding".

As if the audience going to see a comedian on hearing him say he killed his mother-in-law all hold their breath in disbelief at this confession, but breathe a sigh of relief when he lets them know it's just a joke.

Have done so. The formula was taken from the words of scripture and the conclusion is trinity. God, Spirit, Word. Then as we continue through the scripture we see this formula in the scripture many times. Then in the NT we see that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Now we have Father, Son, Spirit. Conclusion. Three in the Godhead all being God.

The bibles books were chosen by God. He is the author. Just because men were used to choose what was already authoritive does not mean that those men who choose the books are the authority. God can direct any person to do as He wills for He is the Potter and man is just clay.

How can you contradict yourself in such a short space?

Would you describe the Trinity as Heteroousianism, Homoiousianism ?

Are the essences of Jesus equal but separate, or equal and joined? How would you describe the hypostases?

Which is more proper...? To describe Mary as Theotokos or Christotokos
