I've been thinking about it and, as we all know, the apostles who wrote much of the new testament were not God. Does this mean that it is a sin to go against what they write in the new testament?
I can understand perfectly how violating one of the ten commandments is a sin, those were handed directly from God himself to Moses. But I can't recall Jesus saying a lot of things that the apostles say that we shouldn't do. Cursing, for example.
If Jesus laid down a rule I would have no problem following it. But should I be holding up what apostles say as if it was what God says?
