Is Michael W. Smith a Catholic?

Is Michael W. Smith a Catholic? At least one of his songs seems to have a Catholic ring to it. That would be the song "Lord Have Mercy". Can someone tell me whether or not he's Catholic or possibly Episcopalian?

Anyway, Michael W. Smith is one of my favorite Christian music artists.

He is actually the pastor of his own church, so he cannot be a Catholic

I missed a concert here because I didn't know it was coming until it was too late.

He used to play keyboards for Amy Grant when she was starting our, then he branched off into his own musical career. Over the years, his music became more serious and cetered. And to my surprise, I just found out that hs's a Pastor of his own church!
