Just looking for peoples opinion on this as the bible never mentions masturbation directly once.

The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Consider this:
For those who LIVE according to the flesh set their MINDS ON THE THINGS OF THE FLESH, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. -Romans 8:5
For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. -Romans 8:6
And you, who once were alienated and hostile IN MIND, DOING EVIL DEEDS, -Colossians 1:21
So, if you set your mind according to the flesh, you are considered doing EVIL DEEDS.
The judgement is clear. Why ? by doing things according to the flesh, you alienate yourself from God ; that Hostility subject that person to be God’s enemies. Why?
For you are not a God who delights in wickedness; evil may not dwell with you. -Psalms 5:4
