What's a yob?

have you ever seen that old cartoon of a father waiting for his child to be born in the hospital waiting room? He doses off and dreams his son is a martian. When he wakes up, his son is human, but instead of saying 'boy' on the baby's hospital bracelet, it says 'yob.'

I think my husband would be extremely upset with me if I told him he was acting like a "man child" --- such a phrase does not encourage a person what so ever. I do notice that when I think he's behaving in such a way, that, to me, I'm behaving like a nagging wife and need to stop.

As for the quote from Revelations of "man child", I always took that to me a male child-- a child being the sex of a man and not a woman.

I'm a bit of a man child myself I think. I play video games and still act like a kid quite a bit. As for most terms, context is important. If man child is used to belittle someone, then it is wrong. But I would advise caution in its use all around. It's not a term I even use myself.

Signed,
Zeta Male Child
