Does it matter? If she is or isn't, would it change your habits of watching and learning? Does her teaching line up with the Word?

So is she teaching biblically? You must answer this, not her followers or critics.

Joyce is considered Word/Faith because of some of the things she's taught in her ministry. Overall, she doesn't focus on such topics as you'd hear people like Copeland, Dollar, Capps, do. She's more into day to say relationship and self image. She is solidly a faith teacher.

I've read 2 of Joyce Meyer's books, and watched snipits of Joyce Meyer's perhaps 3 times in total, but the one time I watched a full program of hers, this is what she said, and this is what I decided about anyone who isn't successfully wof:

I listened to Joyce Meyers for the first time this Wednesday, February 26, 2014.

In that broadcast she said when she was wof, she didn't get some of her prayers answered.

She now believes it might be the Lord's will to go through bad things.

This is a typical "reaction" theology.

IMO, if the Lord PROMISES something in scripture, we need to find out from HIM why we are having difficulty receiving.

We should NOT conclude that it is because it is NOT HIS WILL for us.

IMO, if a person wants to grow strong in receiving the promises of the Lord, you need to listen ONLY to teachers who are succeeding in wof, not those that have accepted failures as the Lord's will.

IOW, if someone says wof doesn't work, they aren't wof enough for me to follow in their footsteps.

I also find it interesting that she doesn't claim to be wof.

If you ask someone straight out if they're a Christian and they don't say yes, what are they my brother?

I agree with Bob that she mostly focuses on relationships (with the Lord and with people).

I agree with you my brother that Joyce and many others use Dad Hagin's phrases. Even non-wof.

The Lord is bringing us all into unity on His words, PRAISE to the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.

There is a brother here who said he no longer tells people he's quoting Dad Hagin, he just quotes the words and people agree. He said when they find out it's Dad Hagin they disagree.

IOW, truth is clearly recognizable, yet prejudice blinds people to the truth.

Yes im re reading how to hear from God and about finished with You Can Begin Again. I also have had in the past her study bible and it's been a great blessing.

The only thing I like of Joyce Meyers is her book the battlefield of the mind... She reminds me of Joel Osteen,its all feel good and no scripture... Its like feel good quotes and positive stuff and that's okay but its no good if you can't show scripture to back it up for the new people lookin to know more.

I listened to her a lot 20-30 years ago, so I can't really speak to how "scriptural" she is now, but she certainly was back then. She really blessed me and helped me grow in the Lord. I haven't listened to a full message in years, but I know my sister went to see her last week and was really blessed by her.

Keep listening to her if she ministers to you. WoF is just a label. She believes the Bible and has very practical tips on daily living in Christ.

WOF is more than a label brothers. It's a description of a belief system and lifestyle. If you think it's only a label, you're not understanding all WOF teaches.

WOF teaching is spreading into other denominations, so perhaps we don't look so unique anymore.

PRAISE to the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY for HIS words being better received now than in the past.

Scripturally speaking as a male you certainly should NOT be sitting under the teaching of a woman.

That being said she is word of faith but somewhat covertly.

Her biggest heresy is the lil gods theology she teaches.

Um...God has used her to bring millions to Christi. It's not my fault you take something Paul said out of context.

Also about the little gods theology I never hear her mention it...
