I have asked this question more than once here and I have never gotten a definite answer. For all the people living in areas of the world where they aren't raised as christians. For instance all the muslims living in communities where they do not have acess to the internet, the bible etc where they can never even learn of Jesus; and than they die in a missile strike or something. What about tribes living in all parts of the world who have been cut off from civilization for ages? How can a just and loving God send to hell people who have never been taught correctly or even heard of Jesus at all. And at the same time the only way to heaven Jesus says is his blood?

So is that the only answer I'm going to get? Good job.

Didn't Christ say that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life? That no man will see the Father except through him?

I really wish we could give you an in depth answer full of scriptural references and studies by scholars, but it's really that simple to answer. :sorry:

There is one mediator between man and God; that being Jesus, but a man is judged according to his own deeds in life and what he is given by God. There is no need for Christians to condemn all people to hell who are ignorant of Jesus. They may have their chance to accept or reject Him at some time or dimension outside of time, as He power over all things. I could never imagine God as unjust to those who have done good according to the law He puts in all men instinctively - the law of conscience. Either way, they will meet Jesus and have the choice to enter on their merits or His work done for all mankind at the cross which was and always will be salvation.

1Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

It was an answer, and a truthful one.

Jesus is the Only Way to heaven, whether we like it or not.

So no, there's not boing to be any Muslims, Hindu's, Buddihsts, Pagans, Druids, Celtics, Free Masons or any other members of a religion you can think of in heaven.

Unless they accept Jesus as their only way to heaven, but then, they wouldn't be anything but a Christian then would they? :)

Rusticus, if everyone is saved regardless if they are christian or not, why does God have people spreading the word of Jesus through the world. I lean more towards that only those who believe in Jesus are saved but it seems to contradict the fair and just God.

I fear that you may have mis-understood: I did not say that EVERYONE is saved.

What I did say was: EVERYONE WHO IS SAVED, be they christian or not, are saved through Jesus.

There will be those who are not saved, and some of them will regard themselves to be christian.

Christian teaching, as far as I understand it, says that the road to salvation is a process, and not an event.....

So most the people here say that you will go to hell even if you have never heard of Jesus?

Ah, now I see where your going with this. Being someone whose wife is a babe in the faith, as she converted from Shintoism to Christianity, I had to explain it to her this way.

If you have heard the Good Message, understood it's meaning and rejected it, then you are destined for Hell. If you have never heard the Gospel, believe and worship a Creator and live a good life I'm fairly certain you will be allowed into Heaven. There is no scripture I'm aware of that goes into detail concerning this.

That is a valid way of looking at it, but it does have the seeds of a problem embedded in it:

Therfore, by spreading the Word of God, we are exposing others to the risk of rejecting it, and thus exposing them to damnation....when otherwise they would have been saved.
So, paradoxically, by trying to help them achieve salvation, we are actually the cause for their damnation........

Exactly Rust, I've been so distraught over this for the longest time and I keep coming back to... even people who have not heard will go to hell... because as you said... why spread it if it just risks their damnation

I have not been quite able to resolve this paradox myself, either.

One possibile resolution of the paradox might be that even a person rejecting the message of God still is not automatically damned.
(Just as a person accepting the message of God is still not automatically saved in the long run....)
But, to be very frank, I have no unified theory on this.
