Hey, Paid in Full, I don't think so. I always listen to Praise and Worship music while doing housework, mostly because some of my favorites songs are Praise and Worship. What better way to keep our thoughts on him, sometimes when I'm cleaning and let the words minister to me, I just have to stop and lift my hands and sing along.

GOD IS SO GOOD! Even when we're cleaning. :)

of course not. You can turn your housework into worship if you do it to the best of your ability and do it to honor him. Remember, just like in the workplace, the person who signs our timecard is not our real boss, God is. Same with housework. You do it so you and your family have a nice place to live and relax, do this also with God in your heart and it's another way to worship Him. How else are we to think about Him all day and all night?

I used to play Praise and Worship at work when I worked with other Christians......and even when I worked alone somedays when everyone would call off, lol.....those were some of my less stressed days in a place that was anything but calm......I think that God would be glad that you want to spend that time with him also even if you were cleaning or working.....I know that when I was working I was kinda like on auto piolet doing my job and at the same time singing or praying.... :)

well as far as i can see there is one conceievable situation in which it would be bad...and it's happened to me...
i was out collecting for the salvation army red sheild appeal. i came to this one house where the occupant was
a) vacuuming
b) playing some worship music really really loud (presumably so they could hear it over the vacuum...)
these two factors meant that they couldn't hear me knocking and didn't get to donate....such a pity....

Praise is often referred to as the Key of David. Praise is something we should be doing as much as possible. Even in Isaiah it says to "Put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness/depression." In all this, what I am saying is that I think it's great to put on praise/worship music. It is a great key to keep your mind on Christ throughout the day, and helps keep your mind from being bombarded by the enemy. And since much of praise music is scripture-based, and we are told to renew our minds by the washing of the word, we are doing that as well. God inhabits the praises of his People. Keep it up sister... and enjoy it. :)

Amen, aria!! There's NOTHING wrong with it! No better way to spend your free time, homework time, kickin back on the sofa time, drivin down the road time....that's my particular favorite by the way. I LOVE driving down the road singing at the top of my lungs. Sometimes I open the windows, blast the music, raise my hand (just one--no accidents!) ; ) and just worship my God.
My dad puts it on first thing in the morning when we're all getting ready for work or school. It's a great way to start the day!

I'm really new here but I just wanted to say that nothing gives me more pleasure than praise and worship being on while I'm doing anything and everything. I know I talk to Him all th time even when I'm doing the dishes so why not sing to Him even if you sing waaaaaaaaaaay off key like I do. Someone has to make the Joyfull noise and I figure that's my job. lol

There's nothing wrong with that. Praise the Lord as much as you like. At any time in any day. I'm really thankful for Praise and worship because it reminds me to keep my focus on God and of what Jesus did for us on the cross, etc. So just praise him sister! And always remember how much he loves you! God Bless! ~R.L.
