Wrong? I don't know. Culturally inappropriate for my country? Yes, definitely. As for some Asian countries, I'm not so sure, and I don't feel like looking it up. I have a cat, myself, and I just adore her. She's so precious and sweet. I couldn't imagine anybody ever wanting to eat her, but I suppose if the entire globe were throne into a famine, I might have to protect her from becoming somebody's dinner. Even if my own child were starving and there were no food to be found anywhere, I'm not sure that I'd eat our cat. Not because my child isn't of more value than my cat, but because it would be avoiding the inevitable. After we finished eating her, we'd still be in the same situation. So why eat an animal that might cause us to become ill, and make our death even more painful. Not to mention that I wouldn't eat her because she's a part of my family... kinda like grandma. I wouldn't eat grandma either.

I wouldn't eat mine unless there wasn't any food.

Actually, my family's already decided "OK, if we get stuck for a long time without food, who eats who?", mostly as a joke, since we're mroe than likely never going to get to that point.

OH MY GOODNESS! I honestly laughed out loud, HARDCORE, when I read the topic. Is it wrong to eat cats? LOL. Oh man...

I dunno why that's so funny.

It's not wrong to eat any animals. We're the ones that want to keep them around and play with them just cause we can. God put them here so we could eat them. So why not?

Not saying I would want to though...:o

If you are hungry enough you will eat cats. During the latter part of WW2, when the Germans were occupying the Channel Islands, there were 13 occupying my family home in Guernsey. The islands were blockaded by the British and the islanders and Germans were running out of food so were forced to eat pet cats!
