if its not sin, then why do so many christians refuse to kiss b4 marriage or engaged? why?

Because they believe that sexual arousal is so natural and instinctual, that it will take care of itself. They believe if they refrain from sexual arousal before marriage they will be able to mutually trust in each others' loyalty to God and morality. In short, they beieve it is righteous behavior before God.

There is no indication in the Bible that it is. Kissing can easily get out of hand though, to where it graduates into French Kissing with the tongue which usually excites and increases libido ; since CHristians are not allowed to have sex before marriage, it is important not to do anything that will send one or both people to an out of control state concerning their sexuality . We want to stay away from doing things that makes the Other (or Oneself) difficult to handle in the sensual arena.

You can get a good idea how sensual/sexual the Other Person is prior to marriage by waiting till you are engaged to discuss such things verbally and honestly. You dont want to put the same emphasis on the sexual like our illicit sex-saturated culture does...by thinking it is everything in a marriage, because, it is not . If you maintain a balance in your thinking by expecting your future Spouse to satisfy you, then that is a healthy expectation...and im sure your Spouse will know how to bring pleasure in that area . The sexual is wayyyyy oversold in our out of control Society , so , dont fall into its superficial trap of it determining a persons worth.
