That is something that others here have found interesting as well, how Christians who are often the most theologically sophisticated are so trollish in their everyday behavior toward others.

There is an old saying among Jewish sages that the best predictor of whether a man will refrain from sinning is not wisdom and knowledge of the Lord, but fear of the Lord. It is not enough to have perfect knowledge of who God is, and what is right and what is wrong, but believing there will be consequences to our bad behaviors that keep people walking the straight and narrow and treating people with respect that we all ought to be treating them with.
I know the question was not addressed to me, but it is an interesting question, and there is my two cents on the topic.

CAIR is one of the Muslim groups whose opinion is often sought when it comes to getting a sound bite on current events from the "moderate" Islam point of view. Yet CAIR is a believer in sharia law for America.

It is not just the absence or presence of violence in an organization's creed that ought to be considered. The Muslim Brotherhood, which was favored by the previous administration in the WH, for the most part remains outside of the violence of Islamist terrorists. Nevertheless, its teachings and ideologies that fills mosques globally have inspired Islamist terrorists for decades now. MB ideology is the ideology of the Islamic jihadists.
America nationalism is not the embodiment of a people. The American flag embodies whites and blacks, Christian and Buddhist and Jew and Native American. Instead, America is the embodiment of a set of values, based in individual freedom and civil society and one law for all.
The sharia law of the Muslim Brotherhood is an anathema to American values, and American values are an anathema to the sharia law of the Islamists.
It is only because the leftists in America have so thoroughly rejected their American values that this simple point remains beyond the understanding of so many now.

I'm a Trump supporter. I voted for him (kind of reluctantly) and I was really surprised that he made it. I don't really identify myself as his kind of person and he's not an ideal president, but he is what we got and I'm ready to go with it. I voted for Obama both times and I felt I supported him. This time it's Trump. I'm a grown man and I intend to act like one.

I was being facetious. As an evangelical Christian there is no way I could have voted for Trump or Clinton, one of those independents would have got my vote out of protest at the 2 main parties becoming part of a corrupt plutocracy instead of for the people.

As a proud Irish American if I want to remember my heritage with an Irish flag I'll do so, and I really don't care what your opinion of that might be.

No problem with that but,
if you think more in regards to the Irish flag than the American flag
maybe you miss your home Country.

The question would be
do you want to make America Ireland?
