Is it time for Donald to bow out? (MOVED)

I think Trump should:

  • Step down from the candidacy

  • Continue to run

  • Not sure at this point

So, after the latest revelation is it time for Donald to bow out? Why or why not? Please let's be adults about this; no polemics which is the reason I posted this here instead of News and Curent Events. Just state your reason for or against based on what you feel fairly certain to be true.

I feel he should still run ( even though I voted unsure) on the one hand I want an honest person in office ( There is no doubt he is frank). I did not deny it.

I will start. There are a lot of turds floating around in Trumps end of the pool; something tells me there are going to be quite a few more. For almost 70 years he has lived and said as he thought fit without caring about consequences; those actions have now come home to roost. In HRC's end of the pool there are also a lot of turds floating around and probably quite a few still to appear. Since she has been with Bill they have been accused of corruption and cronyism everywhere they have gone.
So I see a choice between a boorish, loutish braggert and a suspected corrupt politician.....The proverbial devil and the deep blue sea. For the first time in my voting life I have to seriously consider leaving my X out of the presidential vote. Anyone else have an opinion? And as I said please keep it civil.

Considering the point in time we are at now, I don't see much alternative. The primaries happened and the people voted for Trump. Now we're less than a month from the general election. What could possibly be done? If there was a candidate that took his place, people would turn their nose up at him because he didn't win the primaries and he'd be too new to the scene.

so meanwhile with the newest WikiLeaks...<br /><br />If everybody’s watching, you know, all of the back room discussions and the deals, you know, then people get a little nervous, to say the least, So, you need both a public and a private position.” Hillary Clinton<br /><br />and in a special bank speech...<br /><br />"My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders," Hillary Clinton<br /><br />Essentially, she is saying America shouldn't have sovereignty. We are better off being like the European Union.<br />From this we can assume that Hillary is a globalist who cares nothing about the United States ,or the people ,who she hides her true agenda from while seeking votes.

Why ask a womaniser to step down while we allow a traitor to run?

Why would he? He was recorded by low brow people who thought to keep the record of a recording he did not consent to and for future purposes.
And sure enough the Clinton campaign used it. One wonders how much they paid to obtain it.
It shows how desperate Hillary is. If she's that qualified for the office given all the dirt that is out on her and all the bold in our face crooked things the AG, FBI, and other law enforcement agencies are colluding to accomplish to keep Hillary out of a prison cell, her ad's and her liberal supporters in D.C don't have to keep saying it.

She's the most qualified!

No, she's not. But she is the first candidate who's running now for an office her immoral criminal behavior will stand to have her impeached out of if she gets the election.

That's why the laptops bearing evidence are being destroyed. That's why people who can testify against her are being given immunity so that doesn't happen.
That's why Slick Willie boldly walked onto Lynch's plane and hours later Lynch says that her office has no interest in prosecuting Willie's wife! Ever!

It's as corrupt an administration as I've ever seen these last 8 years. But what is happening now in our faces as corrupt don't give a care who see's it law enforcement compromising integrity, I've never seen.

So no, Donald Trump shouldn't leave the race. He should stick it out and those who support him should realize how desperate Hillary is at this point. Can't wait to see how this plays during the debate.
I wonder if she'll bring it up? If she does she's a bigger fool than first thought because Willie has a truckload of garbage that Donald Trump can offload on her . And she collaborated with him. And even threatened fellow women and trashed them after they'd been victimized by her husband. And she's going to bring that back into the White house if she wins.

Right. Hillary, I'd stay away from this latest underhanded hot mic recording. What Trump said is not even close to what your slick Willie has done! And if Powell is to be believed, is still doing!

I have been hoping for a miracle in this race, so that we're not left with a choice between HC and DT. If DT would stepisode down, and Pence were to run in his place, I could vote in the election with a clear conscience. Even though Pence would not be my ideal choice, he would be far less bad that the current candidates.

It would be nice if a nationwide poll was done to see who they'd vote for if Trump actually stepped down. But with just a few weeks until the election, it might be too late.

The sad part is that anyone of the GOP runners in the primary could have taken out hrc; but the electorate spoke and this i what we got and now we got a mess.

"I was talking to a TV personality while on a bus for a gossip rag TV show, and I had no idea that I was being recorded!" If that's the claim, then it's ridiculous.

During the primaries, I said that if Donald got the GOP nod, I'd vote for them Democrat and if Hillary got the nod, I'd vote for any Republican except Donald. At this point, I am debating between abstaining, Johnson, or Clinton, with my preferences in that order (for now).

Well if a camera were not rolling on him and the mic was not out in the open it could have happened. It does not excuse him just that nobody would know about it.....the electronic dangers of the modern world are all around us......

You summed it up well. I will note even before the recent news on Trump that pool was already full of O Henry bars on both sides.

So 2016 election is the battle of the turd pool. You nailed it.

Too bad the third option is no better.

Perhaps this election cycle will be the death notice for the two party system.

Frankly I believe Christians should separate themselves from both parties.

I guess I meant "new" as in the fact that Trump has been "out there on the campaign trail" as the nominee for a long time and has even done a debate, with another debate coming up tomorrow. That kind of makes it the final stretch in the election cycle. At the same time though, many people might just vote for a new nominee simply because they wanted to vote Republican, but not for Trump.
Maybe the most realistic idea is for Trump and Pence to trade places. Pence even did a debate, and apparently came out ahead.

Trump said he will never quit.

JFK undoubtedly spewed similar nonsense but was never recorded or it was revealed after his death. Trump supporters will insist that he is better than Hillary.

Personally, I see it as the decline of society. Trump has played the anti-hero this whole campaign season and his supporters praise him and make excuses for him. They will continue to go so. Trump said that he could kill someone and not lose any votes.

This election has been a farce from the beginning.

Trump, the man who is not remotely conservative or godly, being voted for by conservatives and Christians.
Standing against Clinton, a long-term ally and "friend"?
Now possibly being called to resign and shoe-in Clinton (who is probably going to win anyway).

The world would be laughing its head off at America if the stakes were not so high.

Maybe off subject a bit but....

This October non surprise for Trump is exactly what the GOP leadership wanted. They have a good man in Pence on the ticket and can perhaps dispense with Trump. The party will definitely lose but they will reason they get the party back in their control. Just a thought.
