Is It The Same Gospel?

HEBREWS 4:2
For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

WHAT GOSPEL WAS PREACHED TO US,THAT WAS PREACHED TO THEM?

In Chapter 3 of Hebrews, it tells you who the "them" is.

HEBREWS 3:16-17

16) For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. 17) But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness?

So if the "them" is the children of Israel that came out of Egypt, then according to Hebrews 4:2; the "us" and the "them" heard the same gospel (good News)

That gospel (good news)that "us" and "them" heard was
Exodus 19:3-6

3) And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;
4 )Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself.
5) Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: 6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
Exodus 32:13
13) Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever.

Dueteronmy 18:18
I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto themall that I shall command him.

John 5:46
For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.

Amen rightly dividing.

Gods WORD tells us to whom the directives are being addressed! We shouldnt be stealing from Israel that which is theirs alone.

I notice that when well meaning believers take all of Israels blessings they leave off the curses that go along WITH that program! If ya take ONE, ya gotta take the OTHER. wink

A simple reading of Hebrews 10 will answer this objection. And a simple reading of 1 Cor. 15 will testify to the unity of the apostle's in proclaiming the same gospel to everyone - Jew & Gentile.

2 Tim. 3:16-17 :: All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

They preached the same gospel. 1 Cor. 15:11.

Pauls gospel was KEPT SECRET since the world began....would someone please tell me how Peter and the boys knew about it, when the Bible says they didnt have a clue?

Why the blatant calling of God a LIAR??? That IS what is happening here...a blatant disregard for and DENIAL of the written word rightly divided!!!!! Merely to protect a denomination? Where is your loyalty to GOD and His plan and purpose? Doesnt anyone CARE that they are misrepresenting the very God they profess to SERVE???

How can one do that when NOT AWARE of the criteria revealed BY God IN HIS WORD in HIS FINAL revelation to mankind thru PAUL????

The very verses you quote contradicts this idea.

Ephesians 3:4-5 :: When you read this, you can perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ, which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit.

Does the Apostle Paul say it was revealed to him alone? Nope.

Does the Apostle Paul say it's the gospel he preaches that's the secret? Nope.

So, where are these guys getting this information? From their Mid-Acts Dispensational system. Not from the Bible itself.

In case you're not noticing it...it's you that's repeating the same old arguments which drives us to post the same old responses to those same old arguments. Perhaps if you start presenting new information that hasn't been rebutted, then we might be able to start giving new answers...instead of the merry-go-round you obviously think we're on now.
