Well, there you have it there.. but honestly, it's like I see the whole world with a significant other.. For me, I have had absolutely 00000 luck. Is it really this hard to find a gf?

Yes, it really is that hard to find a SO, and I'm in the same boat. I'm nearly 30 and I've been single my entire life. I have only been on a handful of dates, and in college I was involved in clubs, etc., and I still did not meet anyone.

Well.... I'm not really supposed to post here cause I went and got hitched but.... I was 24 before I even had a b/f. I mean ever. For him it was even worse, he was 27 before getting a serious g/f. We both had wanted somebody for YEARS but God never gave someone to either of us.

Thanks for the post :)

Why do you have to FIND a significant other? Why not wait on the Lord to provide, ie you chase after God's heart first and then see what kind of relationships that kind of life brings you to?

I've got to wonder which is better: either risking being single all your life in order to follow God's will or step outside of that and try to find a spouse that 'sort of' works and then duke it out and compromise.

Take this verse for example:

Proverbs 21:9
It is better to live alone in the corner of an attic than with a contentious wife in a lovely home.

Why does it seem men are more desperate for a relationship than a woman? It seems they play hard to get and content with their singleness....and I get this vibe like, "How DARE you ask me out? I'm untouchable!" Gosh I hate it....

I actually totally can relate to this. I think that in our society men are the ones who primarily do the "seeking." While women just "wait." HOwever in my case my current g/f found me. I think with all this relationship stuff though I may just give it up, cus whenever I have taken things into my own hands, I mess it up. If I could only trust God with it, and I don't get why I don't.

I gave up "looking". Seems every time I make my owns choice concerning a relationship, I make a mistake and it ends up badly. This time, even though I really yearn to be married again and happy, I am leaving it at the Lord's feet. He knows what's in my heart and what my true desires are, and He makes better decisions than I do!!
