Yes this is an old thread but i think most people are too emotional when it comes to horror.
Pretty sure these are the same people that think halloween has pagan origins(spoiler: it doesn't) and that dungeons and dragons is satanic(spoiler: it isn't).
IMO you can watch it if you want to. But start feeling something bad(not fear but a real bad feeling) then you should stop.
With that being said. Most horror movies are not that good. But i have a list on imdb of the best ones IMO.
