And I’m not saying that the effect is the same. But it is an effect.Agree
But while the cause is the same, the effect is exponentially different.
That is the relative aspect I am speaking of.
Trump has many supporters. That's even more sad and embarrassing for our country since comedian doesn't nearly rise to the level of President. She has many supporters there, sad and embarrassing for our country.
M-Bob
Yeah, she also ripped Sarah Sanders a new one and mopped the floor with Trump at the Correspondent's Dinner.Isn't she the same person who was celebrating the cold-blooded killing of the most tiniest and helpless and defenseless and voiceless, and having a party about it in the form of a musical, sorta'?
#WalkAway.
You are not so naïve as to think this is the only president with immoral behavior.....I am not sure how old you are but John F. Kennedy had so many mistresses that they couldn't keep up with his affairs....I did a research on the past presidents and nearly everyone of them had mistresses...difference is that back then the news was not allowed to report on it. Today's so called news is nothing more than a gossip parlor...….my grandmother would eat it up....she subscribed to all the gossip papers, The National Enquirer, The Sun, The Globe....you name it she read it. So my point is Trump is no more guilty of immoral behavior than the previous immoral presidents. And that’s fine. But what I don’t think we are supposed to do is to excuse the immoral behavior of our leaders and pretend it’s okay.
No, it's much worse on the right. They aren't joking. We don't see anything like this coming from the Right, so I don't see the comparison?
You can get back to caging screaming children now.
Yep.Here is an example:
President Clinton reached an out-of-court settlement with Paula Jones yesterday, agreeing to pay her $850,000 to drop the sexual harassment lawsuit that led to the worst political crisis of his career and only the third presidential impeachment inquiry in American history.
After more than 4 1/2 years of scorched-earth legal warfare, Clinton and Jones brought a sudden end to the case with a four-page deal in which he acknowledged no wrongdoing and offered no apology. The agreement, which will be filed with a federal appeals court considering whether the lawsuit should go forward, requires the president to pay within 60 days.

Paula Jones was vilified and treated like trash. Google it.
Stormy Daniels is being treated like a rock star making millions in a speaking circuit and how long before the tell all book deal. (Wonder why she wants the NDA reversed)
He’s the current one.You are not so naïve as to think this is the only president with immoral behavior..
Yeah, she also ripped Sarah Sanders a new one and mopped the floor with Trump at the Correspondent's Dinner.
I disagree with the premise, but it does remind me of something many say: The left acts out with violence all the time, the right, much less so. They tend to use words. No, it's much worse on the right. They aren't joking.
If you think the right would have kept quiet about Bill had he come back into the White House with Hillary, then I would say you don't know your own side. You mentioned equivalents did you not? I am not minimalizing one or the other.
Just pointing out that the ‘comedians’ and media in general treat one individual exponentially different from the other.
President one:
Sexual predator who is vilified daily for his behavior and paying 130,000 in hush money
President two:
Sexual predator who is welcomed and embraced system wide, while having the exact same behavior and paying 850,000 in hush money.
That’s pretty plain to see.
Ah. So because she has supporters, she’s the left? Does that thinking work for the Right, too?
Or the rock star who said Obama can suck on his machine gun?Can you remember the times that the comedians held a severed head of Bill Clinton? Or the singer who said she wanted to blow up Bill Clinton’s White House? How about the actor who called for Chelsea Clinto to be locked in a cage with pedophiles? Or the actors who joined a crowd calling for Hillary to be raped?
Well, I’d just like the rhetoric to die down a bit.You know, you're ruining the right wing political narrative of this thread to bash and insult all liberals because of the behavior of one liberal when you use rational reasoning like this, Hammster.
I have no idea how much support securing the borders has amongst the left in general. So she’s “the Left”?
Your post speaks to why "thinking" liberals and democrats are concerned about where the D party is going. People are leaving the party because they are not stupid. They understand the issue and are NOT leftists.I have no idea how much support securing the borders has amongst the left in general.
The general message from the left is not a policy, but only calling any policy on the borders out as racism.
There is a certain amount of honesty at least in those members of the left who take the message that border control is racism, and therefore ICE is a gestapo that must be disbanded. The policy of letting an impossible system fester in order to play the moral card against the 'racists' who propose policy is disingenuous one, and it IS the mainstream leftist message.
The next generation of leftists is simply taking that disingenuous rhetoric to heart, and punching the ICE Nazi in the nose.
Trump has been accused of sexual assault three times:And the Democratic President who had sex in the Oval Office, paid 850,000 in hush money to a woman he sexually assaulted was embraced and still is embraced by the very same late night ‘comedians’ and the media in general.
How did something positive come out of that?
Was this an attempt at comedy or are you seriously hinting at an armed conflict between the left and right over some jokes about the president?I disagree with the premise, but it does remind me of something many say: The left acts out with violence all the time, the right, much less so. They tend to use words.
However, if the sleeping giant of the right ever does reach the point where actual violence seems to be the only way (it reaches critical mass), well, they are the ones with the guns, the bullets and the training to use them. It will be swift.
I like comedians of all stripes. Left, right, black, white. If their comedy is good, then I'll enjoy it. If I know they are telling a joke, I don't get upset over it because it's just a joke. On that point, are there even any rightwing comedians? I can't think of any but they've got to be out there somewhere. But honestly, I see a LOT more of the funny stuff from the right. The humor of the left is mostly just funny to the True Believers. The stuff from the right is, well, just funny, though some of it does only sound funny to their True Believers.
I rest my case.
Therefore it becomes a race to out hate one another where concerns Trump. No big surprise there it's simple human nature. Hate sells.
Congress sent a bill offering funding for a border wall to Trump and he did not sign it. Wonder why the right does not want to build a border wall?I have no idea how much support securing the borders has amongst the left in general.
