What do you do now? Do you work? Do you by food and put it into your pantry? Are you being faithless because you work and put food into your pantry? Do you have insurance or a retirement plan? Are you being faithless because you have these wise and faithful precautions? Not so!

See the thread "50 reasons Christians should be prepping."
Tons of scripture and logic that will convince any Christian to seriously consider prepping.
In fact the Word says that Noah "believed in that he feared..."

In fact the Word says that Noah
..... prepped.
.
But, ..... don't neglect salvation (and all that it includes) by faith in Jesus, by grace, described throughout the Scripture
mainly , simply, what to do (so much Jesus says to do, ignored by faith-less people),
regardless if they prep or not...
i.e. prepping, if done while ignoring Jesus, won't be any benefit.

I do not know why people assume that because you prep you are neglecting faith for salvation by the blood of Jesus.
Of course we believe. We just want our families and loved ones who live through expected hard times. Why does that prompt questions to our faith???
In fact, failure to do so is what really casts doubt upon someone's true faith. As Paul said:

1 Tim 5
8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house,
he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

So I would think it is non-preppers whose faith should be questioned.

Too many think that God won't let them see hard times. They forget
that even here in America there was the great depression and dust
bowl less than 100 years ago. If we have several natural disasters
at once, the stores will empty and people will go hungry in under a
week at most. What happens if it takes a month to get regular food
supplies moving again?

How many tens of millions of beautiful believers have perished in hard times being told it will never happen?
Jesus said that we would suffer tribulation.... what more do you need???

And I'm into prepping but is that opposite of having faith?
For most preppers yes.

Should I be trusting God instead?
Trust God FIRST, always, and in everything you do.
ANYthing done not with faith in God, and likewise knowing(believing this is pleasing God) is sin. i.e. a lot that people do on purpose , almost everything done on earth, is sin. Only God can set anyone free from certain doom and death.

Millions of Christians have starved to death. Millions have died in calamity, wars, strife, and every way imaginable.
I guess God forgot to set them free.
Noah believed God and in fear he prepped an ark.
I believe God too. I am prepping at His command as are millions of other believers.
I did not a receive a personal visitation from God to start prepping. I did not need one. I just saw the signs of the times and acted accordingly.
That is faith.

When I have a question about if something is right or not I Always ask myself is it biblical. And I'm into prepping but is that opposite of having faith? Should I be trusting God instead?
Hi Jake, that's a question that's crossed my mind, a lot. But as others have posted there are examples of storing up for the lean years in the Bible. And I look at it this way, it's to save life. Even if something happens to me, die, raptured, whatever, there will still be people left on earth that will need to eat. So I don't look at it so much that I'm storing up for myself and family but for others that may be in need. Sure there will be runs on the warehouses with food supplies but if someone happens upon my house they will find more, food for the body and food for the soul as I also 'store up' on the word of God (lots of bibles. ) ;)

So look at it as loving your neighbor. We can't force them to believe, but we can provide for them when they are in need.

Thou shalt not take any part in prepping.
Just Kidding :)
I think either way will work out fine , I mean I guess there is Scripture to support prepping and also i see the point of pure trust and faith and also it does not say ' though shall not Prep.
I guess either way is fine :)

No one is saying not to turn to God first, to trust God first.

I have no desire to live through what is coming
All through Scripture,
and
particularly in the New Testament, Yeshua, all the Apostles and many if not all disciples of Yeshua
embraced the suffering/ persecution/ tribulation/ beatings/ arrests/ imprisonments/ and executions WILLINGLY AND JOYFULLY (LIKE YESHUA AND STEPHEN) LOOKING FORWARD TO WHAT LIES AHEAD (not as if the reward was in this life, nor ever expected in this life; and never even counting their lives as ones to be protected) ...

And ? like I said I have no desire to live through what is coming,if I do I do,but I have no need to act as if I'm super spiritual and looking forward to it....even Jesus didn't do that.
