Is it bad for a single man to talk to a single woman and give her negative theories..

Here is the question. There has been a lot of talk about men and women being friends and etc. Is it bad for a single man to talk to a single woman and give her negative theories on relationships such as:

1. Women are the inferior gender
2. Marriage is a trap
3. Children are accidents

What do you think, is this bad?

Yes, that's bad. He should get himself some better theories first. They don't even have to be that positive:

1. Women are depraved, but are only as bad as men.
2. Marriage isn't a grinding duty all the time, and it does keep people from sin
3. Who knows, something good may come out of the brats after all. God works in mysterious ways.

Could he bring himself as far as this? Or is it mindless optimism (the smile of a mindless optimist).

Yes I think it's bad. Women are wired to want relationships (some more than others). If she respects you and you say things like this to her, I think it crushes her some. And makes her feel negatively towards men, so it's just passing on the negativity.

Well, I don't see anything wrong with point 1**, but, the other two points would only end up depressing the woman and making her feel less interested in men/relationships, not to mention that they are also wrong in most cases.

Otherwise, I'm sure it's ok to discuss these 'theories' with her to get her thoughts on the matter, but, if you try to convincer her of them or force your theories onto her then I would have to say it's wrong. Like others have asked, why would anyone want to say this anyways?

Grommit-just a good natured dare of sorts. I didn't think MrStace would post these "theories" that he has come up with in public. And I fully expected him to be torn to shreds. I must say I am a bit disappointed this hasn't happened. Maybe I should grant immunity to whoever does so?

mrstance, I'd just like to know what women you know that would actually sit there and allow you to call them inferior??? No matter the context, no matter the meaning, if ANY man (and it has happened before) tried to convince me that women are inferior, I have always pointed out how sadly incorrect he was - Women, AND Men, are only as inferior as they allow themselves to be.

Marriage, well sadly, yes, it can be a trap sometimes, i suppose.....

However, all children are blessings - sometimes not to their parents, but every single child on this earth is a blessing to someone!

I would like to know what the original theories are based on. Let's hear some background on how they came to be theories. They're obviously not based on the Bible, so that's out. Just wondering what else there is (that has any authority) that they could have been based on to make them strong enough to be "theories".

1. Women are the inferior gender. Refer to comments above. Sometimes I think if women didn't exist, there would not be a need for things like, tylenol, excedrin, advil, alleeve, zoloft, paxil, lexapro, celexea...

2. Marriage is a trap. I don't think most guy actually plan on getting married. They met a girl, go out.. then da di da, wake up one morning with a ring on the finger and screaming "Ahh!! How did this get here!!" Caught in the trap.

3. Children are accidents. Refer to the thread "Want Children?". Children are a big responsiblity. I personally think that by having a child you are ingnorantly creating another human being forcing them to live this misearable life. Anyway, people have this crazy desire go do the process that makes children. Sometimes, that actually happens.
