Is healing apart from Christianity the work of the devil?

If it is not done in the name of Jesus or the Lord is not given credit for healing and the healer is calling forth some other force to heal, then it is not God and it is from Satan's kingdom. Satan heals too. It even says in the end times that there will be healings but it will not be from God. We have to discern what kingdom is operating. Is it the kingdom of God or Satan.

I'm talking about when we go to someone that uses occultism. What I can say is that we should try to go to the Lord for our healing or go to the elders in the church. It depends on the church and the elders if they feel that way. The elders or people of authority in the church might not operate that way or lay hands on people for healing.

James 5:13-15 "13Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.


14Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him."

He heals all diseases in Psalms 103:3. In Luke 4:18 18The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

If a person needs to go to a doctor, there is nothing wrong with it. Regular doctors don't use occultism in their practices in most areas. In some they do and that is where we have to have discernment. Hebrews 5:14 "But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil."

I hope I didn't confuse you more on this subject. What I'm trying to say is that we should go to the Lord first for healing, or if practical in your church go to your elders if they practice laying of hands, if the don't, then go to the doctor. In an emergency when someone falls, etc. has a very serious injury, I think I would run to the doctor first. If a doctor is using occultism practices, then go to another doctor that does not use occultic practices.

I hope this helps. There are nothing wrong with good doctors. I believe the Lord uses them too to help the sick.

a medical-Dr. may "correctly-cast" the fractured wrist, but that doesn't heal it. Sutures can't heal either. God designed our bodies to *self-Heal*.

Counselors, so trained, can help such a person:
1. *speed* healing (that part of our mind operates outside Space/Time-restrictions. Meaning, it can often start healing often immediately. and
2. Teach you to shut-OFF pain, (once the real cause has been found by a Dr., and appropriately addressed) - for say an hour or so. and
3. strengthen your Immune-response, so infection can't start. and
a dozen other skills...

Then, there's God's *Instantaneous divine-Intervention*, are you aware of that infrequency?

Yes, there's also "Channeling... energy, entities, & ghosts; which God warns us to stay away from, as most people's perception powers to "judge" what's what, and who's who is far too limited - & may more often than *not*, amount to "evil possessions". Yes, a devil had great power. question is, who wants to forfeit their life, to such opportunists.
Also -
increasingly are "atheist"-counselors, who will state behind closed-doors: "Give me an hour with a 'Christian', and I'll have them 'cured' " - best you ask for References.

The devil made people sick but Jesus made them well. Sickness comes from satanic sources and divine healing has its origin in God! The literal Greek states that Jesus Christ healed all those who "were under the dominion, authority or lordship of Satan". That is God's Word - Believe it and be healed. Oh I know there are times that it appears witch doctors and other occultists may have affected cures by their incantations. Do not be deceived. Satan is a deceiver and manipulator. In the end, his involvement always brings enslavement, torment & death.

Satan did not come to heal, he came to "steal, kill, and destroy." Why would Satan, who hates us all so much, and wants us to burn in hell with him for eternity, heal anyone?! Even those who follow him he hates. We are made in the image of God, and he is God's enemy, so why would he want to help anyone made in God's image?

I am about to graduate as a doctor and sincerely hope that people don't think that all medicine that is not practiced in a Christian environment is of the devil!

I believe that God has given me the opportunity, passion and ability to study medicine and whilst I work hard, every day I am reminded that if it weren't for His grace and strength I would be nothing. Medical healing is only one part of healing and whenever I get the opportunity I pray with patients or encouraged them to seek God. I have to be very careful though as I have to be sure that God is calling me to speak to that person as if I am doing it without His call I risk being thrown out of medical school!

Im still not sure that the original question was really answered though - whether or not the work is of satan or god. my take and what i have come to understand is this - when the fall occured sin came upon us. part of that fall is illness. god does not desire for us to break, bleed, contract illness or even mental illness. but because of the fall we do - however, in these circumstances we have plenty of opportunity to glorify god whatever the outcome. lets face it, if we could all be healed by whatever measure we believe in we would never die and since we know that isnt true there comes a point where we are not healed. but back to the question - is it satan or god - the response regarding who are we evoking i agree with but what about when it doesnt work? are we doing more harm than good to those who are watching and wondering why our god didnt show up? just a ? im still searching for a peace about whether or not i believe in energy healing.

God heals we know that through His word.. We also know that in the world.. people become skilled in healing..

As for energy healing.. something doesn't sit right with me.. I guess you would have to ask where does the energy come from.. we know God is the creator of all things.. but we also know Satan has certain powers..
He uses his power to get the attention off God..

I have prayed for healing for myself and family.. and when it appears nothing happens my husband who is not yet a believer will mock me and my God.. But I know sin separates me from God.. so that doesn't worry me so much.. I don't take offense.. rather seek God more fully and look to Him..

If healing does not come.. are we willing to continue seeking God for His help and lets face it.. if God does not heal.. the problem is not with God.. Or are we looking to any source to get that healing..

You must make that decision and only You know if there is peace in your heart over what to do.. Sometimes I think when we are desperate for healing.. and we do get desperate we are willing to do anything.. It is hard to stand firm and trust God at that point when we are in need.. It makes me think of the scripture.. Are we willing to go even to the death to trust God.. Find our hope only in Him.. it is a big ask..

God is the healer.
Any other form of healing if it is not through Jesus christ is not of God.

God can heal people through many different ways through the blood of his Son Jesus Christ so if anything is being done NOT in the name of Jesus then it is not from God.

God always shows up, just because it is not the way WE think it should be or WHEN, it does not mean God is not doing what his word says... because he does.

I believe that all ggodness comes from God. Weather or not it is a doctor or a nurse or or a Christian laying hands on someone and believing for healing! All Good things come from our father who wishes nothing but good health for us. Only the devil want people to remain sick.

To decieve!
Satan's original sin was coveting!
Covetousness hides in the darkness of deception.
Satan didn't want to be LIKE God,
Satan wants to BE God.

Jesus came to seek and save the lost. Jesus is God.
Now fast-forward to the End Times which we are in.
In Revelation, we are clearly told that the False Prophet "will perform great and miraculous signs"- this is so that he can try to be a god.
If Satan will do this in the not-too-distant future to decieve the masses, why would you think he wouldn't do it today?
