While reading Max Lucado (Grip of Grace) this evening I ran into a story that made me reevaluate many ideas in my life...is god fair?

We go through life and we face trials. We pray to God and ask him for everything...but can we accept his answer sometimes? Sometimes I will jump to conclusions and think I hear a voice in my head telling me what to do because I prayed about it. Since I prayed about it, it must be ok to do it right?

We ask for help, yet forget to wait for his answers. We accept salvation but ignore transformation. God saves us, but we never give all, we just give what we think is worthy in our mind. We pray to God expecting to hear God to say yes; what about when God says no.

Max Lucado talked about his daughter falling into a pool and being rescued. He thanks God the next morning and told God how great he was, but God asked him one simple question...would I be as great if I said no? What if I didnt do a thing, would I still be great.....

Would God still be great if he did nothing, if he gave us eternal life and then walked away...would he still be the merciful God he is today. If all he did was forgive and not help us out. the answer is ...yes.

God gave Jesus to us, he gave us eternal life. Death is already conquered and we no longer have to fear it. If he gave us leprosy tomorrow he would still be fair...because he gave us eternal life.

GOD created the Universe , and thus t is his , yet he still allows us to choose our lives and destiny.

Our chices will have ramifications later on , and will ultimately effect the oucome.
But the choice is still ours.

This alone makes him fair , but then he goes the extra mile , he offers us forgiveness for our sins and offers us a second chance at redemprion.

That is beyone giving us a fair due , and is downright generous. We perceive him as unfar if he does not give us what we want , but Our selfishness aside GOD provisdes what we need and then allows us to chose it if we so desire.

Thus GOD is fair.
