You asked me to either answer you or present the problem with your thought experiment. Are you going to ignore the problem I presented to your thought experiment as it relates to the thread, or are you too wrapped up in your experiment to see how my answer would relate to the thread? You're missing the point of what I'm saying by presenting your thought experiment.

You didn't present a problem with the thought experiment. You presented what you thought was a problem with some extension of the result of the thought experiment. Two completely different things, which is painfully obvious. You could take my thought experiment and transplant it into any thread on any topic, and it's merits or flaws would be still be inherent to itself internally.

I'll take this last exchange as an admission that you're never going to answer my question.

Because the answer to that question either way, when applied to the rest of the discussion, means I am representing a biblically incoherent viewpoint, which I will not do. I presented the problem with your hypothetical as it relates to this topic. If you're not going to stay on topic, I see no reason to continue this meaningless banter.

So you're saying that either answer to my thought experiment, which you can't can't find fault with on its own merits, gives you a "biblically incoherent viewpoint"?

I have to hand it to you. If I were presented with that problem, I would be forced to reexamine my beliefs...

Either answer to your question presents problems when the question and its answer are applied to the topic at hand, problems which are answered by my pointing out of what the problem is with your question. How many different ways do I have to say it before you get the reason why I'm not willing to answer your question?

And by "inherent in itself" (I can't believe I'm having to explain this) I mean that the flaw can't be something non related to the text of the experiment. God isn't mentioned in the text of the experiment, and it seems like you're so paranoid about what I'm going to do with the results of the experiment you're unable to answer. It's a simple yes or no.

My thought experiment now concludes with "this has nothing at all to do with a god or gods."

Hmmm, I might start a new thread just concerning the thought experiment. That would eliminate any "This relates to god because it's in a thread called "Is God evil" nonsense...
